  1. Hmmm, maybe instead of La Cygne I should try WYCO tomorrow??? Hmmmmmmm.... It's been 2 years since I've caught a smallie, so I'm dying to get into that action again.
  2. LOL, gotcha!!! Hey guys, I'm fairly new at this so I need some help. With the thunderstorms we had last night what advice, if any, would you give me as I want to go fishing at La Cygne tomorrow but I don't know with the rains if I need to change the tackle and/or the presentation(slower, faster, etc.) . Any advice would be awesome!!
  3. Hey Bluebasser86, those pics above from your last Friday La Cygne trip; were those bass caught at the south side rip-rap/dam??? I plan on going down there this Friday and to work solely on my ned-rigs, jigs, and worms since I have very little skill set with those type of baits and need to learn other methods of bass fishing other than cranking!!
  4. Well done!! I did not fair so well there. Only caught 4 LM bass under 13 inches, and oddly enough I could only catch them on a Mepps Black Fury Size 3, so go figure!!!! I need to learn how to fish Ned rigs, worms, jigs, and other "soft baits" because right now I suck at all of those!! I only grew up on crank baits and buzz baits, so I have a lot to learn..
  5. Hopefully it will be better today as I am heading out there in a couple of hours!!!
  6. Good to know!! I'll be heading out there on Friday by myself. This will be my first time out this year, so super eager to get going!!!!
  7. Nicely done buddy!! I can't wait to get out this year for fishing. With both kids in basketball, scouts, and whatnot; I've had no time this winter to get out. Hopefully before the end of this month I'll get out. Also, saw your youtube video the other day and your career change. Good luck and I'll be calling you for your services in about a month from now!!!
  8. Nicely done Bluebasser86!!!
  9. I'm hoping with this cold and wet winter that when it does start getting warmer, the bite will be really good!!
  10. No problem. However, looks like old man winter will be making it difficult for me to get out for the next few weeks as the forecast seems to be pretty cold. But you never know!!
  11. When it warms up a little for my liking, I will definitely hit you up to see if you want to come!
  12. We went to Coffee County on Saturday and got skunked.. Three of us went and got nothing, not even a bite. First started by the outlet channel, nothing. Then went and did the rip-rap by the d**n, nothing. Was there for about 3.5 hours. Talked to the wardens and they said it was hit and miss. Either you caught em, or nothing at all. Need to figure out winter fishing also as I have never done that before and want to learn. Overall it was a great day to get and fish and still was fun.
  13. I bet the lakes will be busy this weekend with the warm weather coming in!!! Good luck to anyone fishing this weekend, lol!!!
  14. Went to La Cygne on xmas eve and it wasn't that busy out. Maybe 13 boats, so not bad at all. Fished the outlet again with my daughter and we caught a couple whites, a couple of wipers, and I caught a 3lb LM at the outlet. However, daughter got cold so we left. Was only there for about 2.5 hours but they were sure biting that day for us.
  15. Never even heard of it. LOL, but then again I'm a noob at fishing so all I know are the main lakes people go to.
  16. Nice!!! Which lake did you go to??
  17. Went to La Cygne Saturday. I think there was a tourney going on because it was packed. Fished the east side rip-rap and got nothing, not even a bite. We then said screw it and went to the outlet and at least caught about a dozen or wipers and 2 LM's. I've never done the outlet there so that was an experience fishing in tight quarters and then also watching out for all of the people on land fishing the outlet. At least it was nice to catch fish again at La Cygne becuase a few weeks ago we went there and caught nothing, not even a bite.
  18. Was thinking about going to La Cygne tomorrow and try for some white bass. What kind of bait were the whitey's going crazy for??
  19. Gotcha, thanks for the advice. I will try that next time I go out.
  20. Fished Lonestar again for the last time this winter. Bite was hard to come by in the morning, but in the afternoon it was better. Caught 5 bass, but only 1 was a keeper. Just installed my 93sv with the ultra HD sonar/transducer. I need to read up over the winter and learn more about it. I think something is up because a some of the images on the DownVu seemed fuzzy when showing trees and the SideVu I had no idea if there was fish there or not. Oh the joy!!!!
  21. I will probably be heading out to La Cygne tomorrow afternoon to try out the 93sv if I can get it installed in the morning. If anybody want's to meet up or whatever, let me know. I always enjoy meeting new people on the lakes!!
  22. Good point Sprocket. I will have to think about that as for now I really don't use any of the finders on my boat since they don't really work.
