Worms, Grubs and Tubes
I would need to delete social media for this to occur, see something cool and want to try it. I agree with your logic, but somehow after a night of a few drinks I have an email from tackle warehouse about my new shipment.

Garmin striker 4CV on a Vibe Yellowfin
Hey y’all, there is a lot of conflicting info and I’m having trouble deciding on the best way to do this. My original plan was to mount between my feet at the cup holder and run the transducer into the hell with duct puddy. I understand I would lose water temp and I was ok with that all things considered. A bunch of people seem to think that’s a bad idea so now I’m looking at a yak attack cell block and a Scotty transducer arm mount. With this I would Need the cell block, 12v battery and The Scotty arm mount, correct? If if anyone else has any insight or a good source I can read I would really appreciate it.

Lews BB1 Pro deal
I’ve been researching for a new spring reel, I was thinking about the Custom Speed spool MSB, but found the BB1 Pro on sale for 135, that seems too good to pass up, does anyone have a reason why that isn’t a smart move? Reviews on here seem to be positive.

Hi-Vis braid
Maybe this is a dumb question, but I’d like to better understand how this works. If you use a red line is it technically less visible a few feet down than a yellow because red is one of the first colors lost with depth?

Moving to Jacksonville FL and need locals advise
What hospitals will y’all be working at? Might help with the area. I moved to North Carolina 2 years ago but lived in Jax beach for a long time and covered all of the hospitals. St. John’s county, around Ponte Vedra is a great area with great schools depending on what kind of prices you can find.

Tackle advice - Finger lakes New York
What’s up bassasains, southeastern angler checking in. My girlfriends parents live on Seneca lake, one of the finger lakes. I’m working on Christmas presents for her dad. Their dock is in about 10-15’, they have a ton of lake grass all around their dock and then as you head out there are several shelves and it gets deep quick. We just don’t have that kind of depth here so I’m not sure what works. I was thinking about making him a drop shot type set up that he can throw from his dock. He has rods and some basic tackle but I’m not sure about rod/line size, I’m expecting a picture of his rods today. I’m not sure what would be best. What do y’all think?

Soft Plastic Organization
This would last though a few trips then they would all end up back in a bag or laying in the back of my truck or in my kayak. I applaud those that are able to maintain this.

Input on locating fish and how I fished an area today
Water temperature is around 60 right now I believe. There is a small creek that feeds into the small flat area I started in. I did notice a couple of times that the current actually came back into that pocket pretty quickly, I assume this is when they were releasing water from the dam. It seems unanimous, I believe I’ll try to work the opening of the channel into the main river, I saw several trees etc and I would assume there is a drop off. This is google maps image doesn’t really do it justice but it’s an idea of the layout, theieelt islands inside the creek are actually all of the cattails. I also want to paddle around and check out deeper up the creek. Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!

Input on locating fish and how I fished an area today
I’m still pretty new to big waters, I just got a kayak at the end of the summer and have had trouble locating fish consistently. I grew up on smith mountain lake and locating on a bass boat is one thing, kayak is proving to be a whole other story. Planning to get a fish finder, but don’t have it yet. I live in Charlotte and am starting to fish the Catawba River chain a lot more. I found a spot today that’s just off the river between the lakes. The temperature outside was around 60, I’m guessing water temperature isn’t far from that. The access I found was super clear water, I could see the bottom to around 4’ maybe. Depth in the main area was anywhere from a foot to maybe 6’. The area is packed with dead cat tails and grass with open channels all throughout. At one spot it opens up to the main river channel, not sure of the depth here but I could see some tree branches so I’m guessing maybe 10-15’. I had a green (bluegill imitation) swim jig and a T rigged swim senko tied on. I could see some really small baby bass etc swimming around but never saw anything of size. Today was mainly exploring but I got skunked. Is it worth my time to pick around the dead cat tails or should I just focus on the ledge where the river opens up? I’m thinking later this week I’ll throw a crank bait and likely will stick with a jig as well. Summary: Found an area off of the Catawba River, lots of dead grass and cat tails, super clear water. I know it will Be money in the spring, but am I wasting my time now?

New Bass I'm targeting
They are pretty aggressive little fighters, throw some top water at them and have fun. Edit: I’m far from an expert, have only fished he Flint once with a buddy from Albany, it was a good time but I don’t remember them being super different from smallies, but def. fun to fish.

New Bass I'm targeting
Muckalee Creek is gonna be muddy swamp water, you an catch fish on it though. As LB said, there are definitely copperheads and hogs in the weeds waiting for ya. Flint river is a good size river, plan to fish it just like most other rivers you would fish.

Fishing the same small ponds.
I live in a pretty good size metro area, and fish a lot of pressured waters, and some days it’s just hard to get a bite. Ive thrown all sorts of stuff, but they have seen it all. My go to us usually a jig/bladed jig because that’s what I’m Comfortable with, but as I look back at my summer I’ve had substantially more success on my light setup throwing plastics. Ned rig, drop shot, T rig just produce more for me on these pressured ponds. That bing said, I just got a kayak so hopefully my tune will change.

Need some help/measurements on a kayak ceiling mount
Found a deal on a yellowfin 110 and that seat is easily removable, if 24” is pretty standard then I will have more than enough space. Can anyone confirm this? Thank you!

Need some help/measurements on a kayak ceiling mount
I’ve already looked at that and think I have space to rig it all to the side, I just need to be sure I have the space above. It’s actually quite hard to find the depth of some kayaks as well. The Vibe yellowfin 100 and sea ghost 110 are on my radar but I haven’t been able to find measurements for their height anywhere online.

Need some help/measurements on a kayak ceiling mount
I want to get a kayak but have very limited storage space and need some help. I live in a town house and have really limited storage space in my garage. I believe my only hope is to rig a ceiling mount, I just want to be sure I have the space. I have approximately 32” from ceiling to garage door when it’s up. Does anyone have a close to flush ceiling mount that they might be able to measure send some measurements for? It looks like a lot of the mounts online are cable and hang down quite a bit so I assume I can anchor a couple of hooks or a pulley system myself and get it pretty close to the ceiling to save a bit of space. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Hello from Charlotte, NC
Was in shelby for work today and was looking for a spot to get a line in. Found North club Lake on google maps but got there and it’s private. Sorry of my life, haha

Hello from Charlotte, NC
Let me know if y’all are interested in getting some lines in the water, I Try to go a couple of times per week. I’m still trying to figure out a low profile mounting solution for a kayak in my garage. I live in a townhouse and my wall space is used so I will likely have to be on the ceiling.
