  1. Hopefully good clearance deals on the current model if they replace it
  2. Thanks for the response. I should say my wife is already a good stick, she has caught plenty of 4+ lb bass (impressive for MN). We are signed up to fish a club series next year. the reason I want a rod for her is because my gear is a bit big for her, and would like her to have a rod that is hers. I already picked her up a 2500 Daiwa RG-AB Spinning Reel to pair it with. I will check out the Dobyns, anyone else have any suggestions?
  3. Hey all, I am looking for a recommendation for a rod for my wife. It mostly be used for targeting largemouth around cover. So I want something that she can horse them out if needed, but isn't too big that she gets tired using it Her most used bait is a weightless senko Needs to be spinning rod Budget is around $100
  4. Are they bluegill bites, they peck at senkos
  5. What is the forage? If they eat crawfish, I have had luck using side imaging to find isolated bolders in 20-25 fow. Once found, position yourself directly above the bolders and drop on it. Try and keep the weight stationary while moving the bait. The bigger bass relate to these bolders and will bite.
  6. I have done well with a 4" natural shad senko dropshot on Mille Lacs, its clear water, but not as clear as you are saying.
  7. Al and Troy Linder just hosted a fishing career workshop in northern MN. Look it up and review thier guest speaker list, that will show many of the career fields. As far as majors goes, probably look at a path related to biology/ wildlife management or marketing
