Afraid to use....
There’s only one bait I am afraid to throw. My first vision 110. Bought 3 years ago and has given me the pleasure of my pb. Just over 10, a 9, and countless fish over 5 pounds. I have a 8 inch Huddleston that I caught my first swimbait fish on that is also retired for now. Certain sentimental attachment to those 2 lures.

Aluminum boat care
The boat is a black and gray color. So water marks and spots are my concern. Having a black car I know how difficult it can be to keep that color looking clean. But when it is sparkling it sure does look nice. Sounds like I have to get some stick mist, and vinegar solution and try them out. Thanks again all for the recommendations

Aluminum boat care
Thanks for the responses guys. Especially the vinegar. I totally drew a blank on using vinegar to clean the water spots. I’ll definitely have a spray bottle with the solution handy.

Aluminum boat care
I am patiently waiting for the completion of my brand new aluminum boat. This will be my first boat and I would like to baby it as much as possible. I have some questions about exterior care for my painted aluminum. What do you guys use to keep the outside of the hill in tip top shape? Besides cleaning after the boat right after it comes out of the water, what are the other routine maintenance do I need to do. Wash with soap? Occasional waxing? Thank you for your input.

Vision 110. In my short time fishing it has been pretty good to me.

Why on earth would anyone spend $400 on a bass rod?
Shoot. I’ll tell you why I did. Cause my wife said I could. Would I buy another. Hell yes.

12ft aluminum V bottom boat, need tips for controlling it
The drift sock is a good inexpensive option. I rent small aluminum boats pretty often and 2 years ago bought a drift sock. Now I never go without it. It definitely slows you down and helps with the boat spinning in the wind.

Your Usage Theory On Drop Shot Weights ?
Awesome read. Quick question. What length rod do you prefer and how long of a leader are you tying.

What line to put on my new crankin stick?
Sunline Assassin. Pretty tough. It’s definitely stretches more than sniper.

Your Usage Theory On Drop Shot Weights ?
Fishing mostly from the bank, I have came up with a system that seems to be working for me. When I think the fish are up shallow I go for a 3/16 and below. Once the fish pull off the bank I go heavier weights. 1/4 to 1/2 . The heavier weight falls faster and let’s me cover more water. But it can all change depending on what the fish want. If they are biting on the fall, drag, hop, or swim, this can all change the weight size used.

G Loomis E6x or Flat Side Special for cranks
Being a bank angler it’s hard to carry multiple set ups. That being said the flat side special is one my most favorite and versatile rods. Jerkbaits, Crankbaits, topwaters, and even light Chatterbaits get action on the flat side special. The taper is something special on that rod. I paired mine with a curado 70 and it’s a awesome set up. Extremely light and well balanced. But what has really sold me is how solid of a rod it is. I try to baby my gear, but accidents happen and the rod has held up extremely well. Going on year 3 and it’s still going strong. Only draw back is the micro guides if your a braid to leader guy. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one.

Hello from San Jose!
New guy from San Jose here too. Heads up. Anderson has been pretty good lately. If you haven’t gone, do so. Fish are surprisingly still active and feeding pretty good once the sun comes up. Got a nice one last week. And multiple fish days when I have been able to go.

Long time lurker from the golden state
Well. I figured it’s time to stop lurking and finally get involved. California native born and raised in the biggest suburb in California, the good old Silicon Valley. Been fishing since childhood, but got seriously addicted to bass fishing 4 years ago. What keeps me going is the constant puzzle of bass fishing and how humbling it is. All of my experience has been from the bank with the occasional boat rental. I am finally in a position to step up the game and fall deep into the rabbit hole. Planning on purchasing a boat. The boss has given the thumbs up as long as it serves as a fishing and family boat. Selfish me wants a bass boat, but the kids and boss will be better served with a fish and ski. Hoping to pick the brains of you all and contribute where I can. Thank you for all you guys have taught and continue to teach me. I hope I can add to the site and pay it forward with the little knowledge I have aquired over the years.
