  1. As others have already stated, ponds don't turn over, the clarity is a function of inflow or algae growth. 8-)
  2. As the days get shorter, night time temperatures are the key. Water temperatures will drop ten degrees or more over the next several weeks, especially with all the rainfall we are getting. We are definitely in the autumn mode. 8-)
  3. I fish split shots all winter using light, small diameter line. They will not damage or weaken your line if you just clamp them down tight. 8-)

  5. Mature baitfish is the theme for fall. Crankbaits, spinnerbaits and jerkbaits rule! Upsize your soft plastics and jig presentations, too. 8-)
  6. Let's be careful here... Claiming an item was "in the bin" when it wasn't or "relabeling" merchandise is theft. BassResource.com DOES NOT support any illegal activities. Furthermore, "mistakes" do not have to be honored. Sometimes they are, sometimes not, but you don't have a "right" to mismarked or misplaced stock. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator

  9. Opportunity knocks: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1252794105 Try to scrape up another $50 and buy the MBR844C. You will not be disappointed. 8-)
  10. Too bad the fish weren't more cooperative. Great post and some fine pics! 8-)
  11. Well, just spending the day fishing with Bud is worth the trip! Fishing should pick up shortly. Better luck next time. 8-)

  19. Weightless: Parallel to the shore, off the bank 5-15 yards; on top of the weeds and next to the weed line; on or near any cover or structure. T-rigged: Sometimes the same as weightless, but more generally in deeper water and especially when fishing structure. Shaky head: My favorite! 8-)
  20. The SJR783 is G. Loomis' most popular spinning rod. Your wife will like everything about it. The 783 is far more versatile than the 782. 8-)
  21. Hey Andy, Welcome aboard! I have one Dobyns rod that I like just fine. Maybe I'm not a split grip guy, but I'm going to give my rod a workout for a year or so. I have the Champion 683C matched up with a CH50MG and it's special! Maybe you should talk with Glenn about becoming a sponsor, it's not expensive. I think that after Gary winning the US Open, the whole story becomes a lot more interesting. -Kent 8-)
  22. No longer... Goodnight Irene. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  23. IMPO I wouldn't spend that kind of money (custom build rates) on an all around rod. There are plenty of really good all purpose rods in racks 6'6" to 7' med fast. I think that a really good custom rod is built for a specific reel weight, blank power, tip action, and lure range for a stated technique.. Not trying to rain on anything, just a builders thought.. Good Luck & Tight Lines!!! Hmm.... Think this guy might know something? 8-)
