  1. Well now...The GOAT has made quite a splash with the announcement of his return. It's only March and I'm READY TO RUMBLE!

  5. From FAQs I have a dispute with 'company X'. Can I post about it here? While we can empathize with your frustration, the best course of action is deal directly with the company. Escalate it up the ladder, file a grievance with PayPal or Ebay (if they were involved with the transaction). File a mail fraud complaint with the post office. There are other options, but attacking the company in a public forum is not appropriate nor allowed. Such posts will be removed
  6. Watermelon Pumpkin/ Hard Candy rocks!
  7. Maybe, but I think you will REALLY like a one piece.
  8. VTS MF 7’1” Medium/ Fast - $190.00 Mastches up well with the Shimano Stradic FL 1000 https://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/northamerica/us/en/homepage/Shimano_Product_Page.P-STRADIC_FL.html
  9. That is a great reel, but I'm a sissy and bought a the 4.8 oz Aldebaran.
  10. I don't make any adjustments. One and done. Just for fun I occasionally retest a reel or two to make sure my "feel" is still in range. I like the drag set 2 -2 1/2 lbs on spinning tackle, 2 1/2 - 3 lbs. for baitcasting.
  11. Shimano Conquest 100 https://fish.shimano.com/content/fish/northamerica/us/en/homepage/Shimano_Product_Page.P-CALCUTTA_CONQUEST_100-200_A.html
  12. Seaguar Smackdown...Round, uniform and smooth. https://seaguar.com/freshwater/new-lines/smackdown-stealth-gray
  13. I only fish The Rig from a boat. Otherwise, I think you're one and done.
  14. We generally troll The Rig on the Tennessee River, but this particular day we were on top of them. I guess my first fish "found them", then my partner caught all of his casting. The bite was a frenzy until it stopped. That's when my buddy put down his rod and said "I'm done, it's your turn." Thanks a lot.
  15. Well, on my best trip I was the "net boy". I caught the first striper before my buddy went 19 in a row! His fish were all +/- 20 lbs, my single bite weighed 28 lbs. Personal Best is 48lbs. I have been fishing The Rig for more than a decade. I have never caught a double or a single fish on the outside arms. I generally rig small swimbaits or Menace on the outside and a Johnson Silver Spoon in the middle.
  16. Spring is just around the corner. Temperatures are recovering into the the mid 60s and 70s next week. I will be fishing Pickwick Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  17. Great value!
