Well, I am a HUGE fan of Tatsu, but for stained water Yo-Zuri Hybrid Smoke or Purple Smoke blends perfectly.

Fast reels for most applications, but if you do a lot of deep cranking you REALLY need a slow reel with lots of torque.

Still muddy, but the crappie are pretty active.

The pond was "stocked" by the Wolf River during the recent flooding.

Grove is a Germantown, TN public park. The ribbing is due to some previous posts. Smallmouth bass do not live in ponds around here (too hot) nor do Peacock bass (too cold).

Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 has a diameter of .013" and a breaking strength of 19.5 lbs. Ande Premium #12 has a diameter of .014"; #20 has a diameter of .018". Take your pick, Yo-Zuri is still thinner.

Well, that is a terrible experience and I would be mad, too! However, my experience has been quite the opposite. Over the past few years I have acquired several Pinnacle reels which have both impressed me initially and held up well. Still, the bulk of my gear remains Shimano (17-3).

I keep my jigs in a Plano, usually three to a section. Just put the jig with trailer on top. This makes for a "soft landing" and will not affect the integrity of the trailer as long as it is not smashed by the lid. More generally, I have two trailers on the bottom, two swim jigs unrigged faced opposingly and one rigged on top.

Another fabrication? I am VERY familiar with Grove. I have never seen a donkey with a carrot helmet swimming in the pond, running through the forest or resting on the bank. However, when I was there yesterday I did see signs of the St. Patrick's Day party...unicorn tracks, pixie dust and a few gold coins that the Leprechauns left behind.

The Jika Rig keeps the bait just off the bottom when you work it forward. I have had good luck with the Rage Structure Bug.
