  1. If you want to fish there, talk with local law enforcement and ask them to make a "courtesy" visit to the land owner. On the otherhand, why do you continue to fish dead water? A few visits over a couple of years during various seasons would be enough for me. It sounds like a waste of time.

  3. Looking for a twist on an old favorite? The YUM F2 Houdini Shad might be just the ticket! The unique tail design is what sets this "minnow" apart. I prefer the full paddle tail for a slow fall, but it's designed to be modified. The bait has a powerful attractant (Ferocity Squared) built right in. You will find the erratic nature of the bait on the fall to be particularly appealing to curious bass. Give them a try, I think you'll be surprised! http://www.lurenet.com/brands/yum-baits/yum-f2-houdini-shad http://www.overslot.com/p-13019-yum-f2-houdini-shad.aspx?utm_source=googlepepla&utm_medium=adwords&id=18283950120&utm_content=pla#.Ueptt41JOVc

  5. Pitiful, I didn't learn a thing. In the first video you can't see what he is trying to do and in the second he doesn't do it very well.
  6. Who do you call? "It's good to be King"
  7. I have one attached to a chalk line. The line is orange to match the knocker and comes with a plastic retriever. Take a look at this at Home Depot.
  8. I'm just saying AbrazX is too stiff for mainline on spinning tackle. Let's look at the leader idea a little closer. The main issue is the connecting knot. You need to practice tying the Alberto Knot over and over again. With a little practice you will achieve 100% confidence in this knot. I begin with a loop in the mainline (braid) and wrap the fluorocarbon. This allows a very close cut on the front of the knot which nearly eliminates problems with the cast. The braided tag on the back of the knot is finished by burning the end with a lighter which creates a small bubble. Hold the knot in the tips of your fingers and move the edge of the flame to the tag. Again, this takes a little practice.
  9. I think you would REALLY like #20 Tuf-Line on spinning tackle.
  10. Red Label is pretty stiff and won't work well for lighter baits. For power fishing I like 50# Kanzen. For finesse, 20# Tuf-Line. I don't like to feel a knot. My leader is attached to the mainline about 6" above the reel with 4"-5" over the rod tip.
  11. Excellent!
  12. Using fluorocarbon as a leader is far more economical.
  13. You bought the wrong line for starters. InvizX is much better suited for spinning tackle. Another alternative is to use the AbrazX as a leader. Your mainline can be anything you like, but I'm using Tuf-Line or Kanzen on two of mine.
  14. Nope, it's the Thumper for me, especially Blue Fleck.

  17. Buy "gently used" on our Flea Market. St. Croix Avid AVC68MXF/ Curado 50E or G.Loomis IMX MBR844C/ Curado 50E or 200E
  18. Well...Just over 7 and my PB, just over 8 <------------
  19. Braid has much greater sensitivity and very little stretch. Visibility may or may not be an issue, it really depends on the water clarity and the technique you employee. I am using braid as a main line with a fluorocarbon leader for bottom contact presentations.
  20. If it's just about largemouth bass, Florida and Texas have the edge. Potential for the next World Record? That's still California. For a shot at the next World Record Smallmouth and an abundance of 6-8 lb bass, both brown and green, the Mid South is the ticket. The reservoirs of the Tennessee River are producing size and numbers. Pickwick has been on fire for several years, but Guntersville is the long time leader. In addition to world class bass fishing, the region boasts gigantic striper, catfish and is a short drive to the White River in Arkansas for monster rainbow and brown trout. The best trophy crappie fishing in the world is just south of Memphis in northern Mississippi.
  21. Kentucky bass (spots) sometimes have red eyes. Rock bass do not interbreed with largemouth. The only hybrid is a meanmouth, but they are pretty rare: http://www.in-fisherman.com/2012/08/24/hybrid-black-bass/
