It's been REALLY slow for me. Caught fish on the Senko, nothing on the Fat Ika.

There is plenty of grass!

Holding the Shellcracker vertically, pierce the nose and run the jig point through about 1/4" down. Scrunch the nose up the jig as far as you can. Turn the hook to come up through the bottom and out the spine. If you have judged the distance properly the hook will lay flat and parallel to the bait. I fish swim jigs with a steady retrieve at various depths, but never on the bottom. Siebert Outdoors makes a good one and I especially like the NorthStar Original Swim Jig. My best trailer right now is the Rage Tail Shellcracker.
