  7. Very clever!
  8. Big O posted traditional rigging and with a swim jig on this thread: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/119482-rage-shellcracker-rigging-discussion/page-2
  9. It's been REALLY slow for me. Caught fish on the Senko, nothing on the Fat Ika.
  10. Looks great! New color, too!
  11. MBR842C/ Core 50MG/ 12# Tatsu I throw 1/4 and 3/3 oz NorthStar Original Swim Jigs and Seibert Outdoors. Trailers include the Rage Tail Shellcracker & Menace; GYCB Swimming Senko and the MegaStrike Fat Shad.
  12. I am fishing deep water, ledges, points and creek channels. The bite is EXCELLENT, but the fish are stacked. Fish spots for 15 minutes and move on until you find them, then load the boat!
  13. Save time and money...hire a guide that furnishes the gear. You'll have more fun, catch some fish and not have to make an investment in equipment you know nothing about.
  14. Well, if it's mono, fluoro or copolymer I thing it should be within the specs, but with braid you have to work with your drag adjustment.
  15. Whoa! The handle is on the wrong side.
  16. Everything I own matches perfectly, I mean perfectly down to the color of the line. I think the term is "anal retentive".
  17. 7" is the biggest Senko
  18. Square A is a good one. You might try a Norman Fat Boy, too!
  19. There is plenty of grass!
  20. Holding the Shellcracker vertically, pierce the nose and run the jig point through about 1/4" down. Scrunch the nose up the jig as far as you can. Turn the hook to come up through the bottom and out the spine. If you have judged the distance properly the hook will lay flat and parallel to the bait. There is a picture of the rig in this thread: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/118549-favorite-swim-jig-trailer/
  21. I fish swim jigs with a steady retrieve at various depths, but never on the bottom. Siebert Outdoors makes a good one and I especially like the NorthStar Original Swim Jig. My best trailer right now is the Rage Tail Shellcracker. Others I use are the Rage Tail Menace, GYCB Swimming Senko and MegaStrike Fat Shad. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/122338-swim-jig-question/
