  1. You will get more than that just loading and unloading. Take the discount and have fun. These kayaks can take a lot.
  2. Yeah, they didn't watch to price match for me because the transducers are different. Understandable. The customer service rep at the store advised me to wait for the sale as it was "good". Meaning, it would be the same along with the bonus bucks and triple rewards. I just wanted to clear up the price match. Bass Pro has price match signs "hidden" in their store. I even took a photo of one just in case I needed to use it. In their past, they would say that they do not price match. In the past year I have seen signs waaaay at the back of the store on end caps stating that they do. Then I saw it online one day, but now its not there. Just saying, they seem to price match year round.
  3. Just to confirm with 70diesel, the one I ordered comes with the CV52. Also, thanks for contacting Garmin and posting the response.
  4. A lot of the prices are online... But you miss out on the Tripple reward points and bonus bucks. That like 50-100 depending on what all you buy... That's also a tank of gas, lol! Most of us just don't have a a bps in the neighborhood.
  5. Kudos for this... I started to do a comparion with their addresses. I was able to find previous adds and store information. Then I finally found their ad and started to edit the IDs blindly. Your tip will save time. Thing is, I believe the ad will be out publicly this week.
  6. This is what I was told as well a few days ago. For me, I didn't really mind as I was only buying this to buy this to use with live scope... I am still trying to justify the purchase for me, lol. I just really want to experience it. I did find the older panoptix transducers on be for $400... but they just sold out. I don't know how much of a difference the new GT52 will be. My fish finders get delivered today.. One was sig required and will pic it up tomorrow. I will see just what transducer comes in the box an report back. If cabelas somehow shipped mine with the better transducer, will not return it to BPS. I am also trying the Lowrance 7TI.
  7. That's how I got mine. I called the order in. It arrives today. Quiet as Bass Pro trys to keep it, they do price match.
  8. I appreciate that .. I just got a warning for promoting my content. It wasn't my intention at all. I just want to help others likeany people have helped me. Yeah, I am preparing to make up all the fishing I missed out on this year. Good luck!
  9. Lol, I will try not to take this personal. There isn't t one sporting good store that visit where I am not known and welcomed. A lot of staff know me by sight and others by name. Just like I posted this information to help random forum members and my YouTube/Instagram viewers, I am a respectful and kind to all I meet, especially people who are providing a service to/for me. I am not some customer who cries foul and leaves a bad review, I am always giving kudos first and complaining last. If they are bad, they don't get my time or money. The customer has the privilege of doing this. Bass pro's customer service has been very good to me and has even recommend buy/return like this. My local guns/fishing store held one of two curado DC reels for me the day before black Friday... I just walked into dicks sporting goods and they said they were waiting for me to walk in. They offered some bulk stock to me. I bought a $175 shooting rest for $35, I bought two Silvermax reels for $10, 3 president reels for $15 and the Lew's carbon fire for $15, the rod for $20… I have a few really nice Lew's, diawa rods that I have picked up for $20 at other stores. I have some other stores who hook me up with gun deals. I am not bragging, I am just saying that people just don't pass on deals, information, opportunities to just anyone. They know I am a d**n good customer who usually makes a friend out of the staff. I do not see them as workers, I see them as a person like me... Just doing a job. I respect them and they respect me. They also know I am going to spend a lot of money. They respect me, I am loyal to them. I agree, maybe you just need to get out of that business. I sometimes feel that way with the end users in my company, not enough to quit my job. My staff maybe clueless with some technology, but theyove and respect me. They are my customer and I take care of my company. They take care of me by being very flexible. They know when I need to go fishing and hunting, lol.
  10. Also... Cabela's is selling some of the on see stuff now if you make the order over the phone. I order my echomap 93sv a few days ago for the sale price. It was my insurance if they didn't have it in the add for the same price or not at all. I will return it to bass pro so I can get the triple reward and bonus bucks. That's what makes the deals better. I couldn't do better any other sale last year so I have been waiting for this sale. I also called bass pro, and they said they couldn't confirm my suspicions... So I went hunting and found the I fo I needed, lol! I really hopes it helps. I wasn't going to post, but I saw a thread where this guy was going to buy one of the fish finders for $1000 or $750 and I knew they would be -$400 and -$250 in two weeks. This can save us all a lot of money! Good luck to of you. so
  11. I do not work for BPS or have any affiliation. I scoured their website for over a week trying to find our what the sales were because I was looking to buy a new fish finder. I found it a few days ago. Only some stores have theirs up. I cannot find one for California, but they will come. Across the nation, their ads are different, especially for gun sales. To find your store, enter what number it is. Like my store is number 85 (Rocklin, CA), but they do not have an ad up. Pearland,TX (ID: 50) thankfully has theirs up. The store selector does not work, but if you edit the link with the store number , you can get a different add. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/hidden-kale-3?storeID=50 Triple Crown Rewards Bonus Bucks Free installation (if you need that) Reel and rod Trade in going on. Garmin Echomap SUPER DEAL! I put a few images of the ad, but check it out. Bass pro does not always have the best price or deal, but this sale they usually do.
  12. Dude… you better wait till the 15 of feb. Bass pro will be selling the 9sv for $600 and the 7sv for $500 https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/online-catalogs?catalogCode=BassPro/SFC_19_50_tab you can actually get the 9sv for $600 from cabelas now by calling the order in. Go to the link below https://www.cabelas.com/product/GARMIN-ECHOMAP-PLUS-SV-X-TRANSDUCER/2655108.uts?clickId=0epWsV0ECXBMTX40yXwX4wRaUkgVv2UsQW3M0Y0&irgwc=1&WT.mc_id=ir10451&utm_source=Slickdeals_LLC&WT.tsrc=AFF&utm_medium=AFF&rid=10 Mine will be here tomorrow I will return it back to Bass Pro so I can get the bonus bucks and triple reward points.
  13. I have the echomap 74SV that is the previous model. I just ordered the echomap 93SV from cabelas for $600. Bass pro will be selling it for $600 with bonus bucks and triple crown rewards on the 15th. They will be selling the echomap 73SV for $499. I am only upgrading because I am getting the panoptix live scope and only the previous version is compatible with my echomap… I have only used garmin units... I got a Lowrance with my boat that I hate. I bought a Lowrance hook2 that I hated... I ordered a Lowrance 7Ti, gen 1, that will arrive tomorrow with my echomap. I will be returning it most likely. Of all the units I have tried, the garmin just makes since is very easy to use. It is hard not to find the most value with the garmin units. They don't have the best image like hummingbird with mega, but garmin is not gouging you for the unit. You get all you need out of the garmin model you select. I found myself struggling to find a humming bird or Lowrance unit with the same price and features. Shhhhh, this is the add they have not release yet. I got it a few days ago. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/online-catalogs?catalogCode=BassPro/SFC_19_50_tab
  14. I modified a pelican apex sit on top kayak and a pelican trailblazer sit inside kayak. I have a sit in and a sit on top. I put rod holders on them, fish finder, tie downs and other times to make them very fishable. The current trail blazer is listed at 36 lbs... I know the one I have has a hatch in the rear and was like 29 lbs spec. https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/pelican-trailblazer-100-nxt-kayak-17pelutrlblzr100npsk/17pelutrlblzr100npsk?camp=CSE:DSG_pg1053069610_ecom_PLA_452&msclkid=4c53d908ba861f4ee2ee855bd73be727
  15. I had to have back surgery in august. I used to fish out of my 12' perception sit on top. With my setup, its almost 90 lbs and I have to put it on my fj cruiser. Since the surgery, I haven't used it. Truth is, I wasn't using it before the surgery. I bought my second 10' kayak the year before. Believe me, I do not like my 10' kayaks for fishing as much as my 12, but my 10' weight like 30lbs, with the sit inside, I can put all of my gear in it and carry it to the water. It tracks badly, but its my current fishing kayak and it gets the job done... So I just can't beat on 10 footers too much. They have purpose and as another user commented, every pound counts.
  16. Sorry you are going through this. Hopefully this is it and you will just have great times after this. After my fuel issue, I was worried. Now mine was the tank and not apart of the engine, but I understand your frustration. I am happy with mine now and just had it out over the weekend. It is so hard to give your boat up for repairs... Seems like they take their time. I wish I could fish everyday, everyday they had it I wasn't fishing... Everyday I kept it, I wasn't fishing and they could have had it. Its frustrating. Just let them have it and it will be fixed. Get it back, take her fishing, and promise to never leave her with another ever again
  17. Yeah, my fuel line in the tank was disconnected. It was so spotty. It would work with a full tank of gas.. then it was just random. I finally figured it out when I was stranded on the lake. To fish that day, I had to tilt my tank. I used a hose clamp to fix mine. See a few pages back to see and example.
  18. Funny, I just screwed mind down. I put it I the center. I have no issues reaching it with either foot. I was just really tired of it moving around. I bought a weighted plate, but never used it. I thought I would recess it, and still might. I really like the idea of pedle paddle.
  19. I love my Garmin fish finders. I have echos, echomaps and I have the striker 4cv that you are talking about. It is worth it. It has all you need with chirp, down imaging, and gps that can create maps for where you go. You don't alwas need maps, but it is nice to make a map of areas. Do not get a deeper or a lowrance model with a x in the model. The lowrance hook2 x are straight garbage. They have a slow processor. I hate them with a passion. The deeper units take your phone battery and do not do anything special like real down imaging. I never uploaded the video demo of the lowrance hook2 units I bought, but I hated them so much. They are garbage. I am just used to better. The humming bird does not have chirp. The lowrance is in a horizontal/landscape, but does not really offer any benefit. The Garmin 4cv plus has everything and is the very best value feature and price. I am actually thinking of selling my 4cv, if not I will just put it on one of my kayaks. I am getting a echomap 93sv, lowrance elite 7ti, Garmin striker 5/7, and maybe another to test out. I will be keeping one. I actually use it on the bow of my boat. It is nice and I am just upgrading because I am preparing to put a panoptix model up front.
  20. I have 3 10' kayaks, one 12 footer, and hat 1 16 footer. My favorite is the 12 footer. It is faster, tracks exceptionally well, stable, and can carry a lot of gear. The 10 footers just do not track well at all. They are easy to move around and I like to take them because they are very mobile, but they are slow and just not like a awesome 12 footer. The 16 was just too long and was a touring kayak for big water. It was great for what it could do. Very fast, but just not for the fishing I do. 12 foot kayaks should be the standard and that's that. I am going to get another, but I am looking for a light weight one. I like paddle kayaks more than peddle and all of these other huge kayaks.
  21. I took the boat out yesterday and it worked flawlessly. It may have fallen off because of bumpy roads. Thing is, this thing would no stay on without a hose clamp. I know there are at least two different gas tanks that tracker his ship with his boat. I will have to find my brand again, but I believe it could happen to anyone of you.
  22. Ok... Took the boat out and broke down again. Good or a bad thing I was the only one on the lake. Itroee to prime the fuel line, no go. I took apart the line and it was sound asleep can be. Tried it all again, but heard where it was catching air and not fuel. I figured it out... The fuel line must have a hole or is broken off. To at least fish for the day, I propped the gas tank at an angle so the fuel would be at the right level. When I go home, this is what I found. I fish out the fuel line and put a clamp on it. It is secure now. This can happen to any one of you!!! Put a clamp on now. Save yourself the embarrassing breakdown. I will make a video later.
  23. My dealer approved my carpet fix, they are just going to fixe the bubble spots to now. I have been using the west Marine transom saver since I received my boat and it it's still working fine. I ended up buying a second one just because they were $8 on clearance. You just can't beat that. Previous to getting my boat, I read so many reviews of people complaining that their transom saver broke or wore out quickly.
  24. These are pictures I took after I installed the Bimini top. There are 3 pictures, up, down ,and the rear deck. I have a video Start at 23 minutes for the Bimini top. I get in the boat, move around, and demonstrate fishing with it on.
  25. We have used our Bimini Top on a few occasions. We usually use it when we are not fishing and resting. I have used it fishing and never hooked up any lure or had issues with it. I am pretty aware of my casting, but I know it differs for others. It worked great for just catfish fishing. When it up, people can fish from the bow or rear deck as long as they are aware. Mine is really not in the way when it is folded down. I fish off of the rear deck all of the time and no issues with it being in the way. It is more in the way with the rails folded down... People want to use them to get it or hold on to. Stepping up to the bow is easy enough, but the rear deck there is some issue... I am just over 5"10"... you being taller may have issue. They have taller ones, but it will change your installation points and such. For me, it has paid for itself. It was $150 plus about 30 minutes of time. I can take it off when I need to, but I have yet to do so. It fits well on the boat even with the cover on it. I installed this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ITIB590/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Color: Light grey | Size: 6'L x 46"H x 73"-78"W | Thanks for the update... I really hope that is not the issue. I have not run my motor since. I need to get it to the shop. I've been in my float tube the this past week.
