  1. #1 reason no doubt for me is slack line sensitivity. I do love braid too at times but it’s dead when there’s slack in the line.
  2. Does anyone remember the TV show that Davy Hite was on throwing his mop jig on cypress trees? It wasn’t Zona’s show and I thought it was “The Bass Pros” but I can’t find the episode anywhere. Anyone remember this? Thanks
  3. For those of you that own or have fished both of these rods how to they compare as far as tip and balance are concerned? I’ve never fished any of the Expride rods but handled the 7’2H today and was very impressed with how light and balanced the rod was. They didn’t have a 7’6H so was curious how these two rods compare. I have mostly Tatula elite rods and Dobyns which I would think would have softer tips than the exprides but I could be wrong.
  4. It threw me off esp since the post was from May 2020.
  5. Noticed this on while doing some reading on Tak and don’t believe I’ve seen this rod before and can’t find any info on it? 7’3” “Finesse Jig” rod with Tak’s sig on the rod? He posted it showing his swim jig set up.
  6. I went with the above water Venturi head spray nozzles and they work great. My fish at weigh in yesterday were noticeably more lively vs the weekend before. Highly recommend these if anyone is in the market.
  7. Hey y’all need some opinions on my livewells. I currently have the flow-rite power stream aerators that are about 9” long and aerate below the water line. Mine are the older models without the venturi heads on them. What’s y’all’s opinions on these vs the power stream above the water spray nozzles? I’m gonna replace mine with either the below or above water venturi models but can’t decide. I did have a fish knock one of mine off this weekend. Boat is a 2000 cobra 190. Thanks
  8. He said several times on live the jig was 1/2oz. Should be available soon I would think.
  9. I’ve emailed and gotten price and sizes but not what brand. Just wondered if I could buy the same bearing or a cross direct and save any coin.
  10. Does anyone know what brand ceramic hybrid bearings 13 used for their concept E reels? Looking to replace some of mine and upgrade some concept A’s. Thanks
  11. Invizx is my favorite even more so than tatsu. I use 20lb invizx on everything from spinnerbaits to flipping with great success. For the money my local walmart sells Berkley 100% fluorocarbon for $14 something a spool and its stronger than all of them. It's a great line and I've never broke it. Its bigger line but you can tow a truck with 25lb Berkley.
  12. Which one of these rods and why? Would to hear how these compare. Thanks
  13. Will try and post pics of the 2 jigs i have both 3/8 but with different hook sizes.
  14. Yes positive. I'm addicted to jigs....
  15. Strike king hack attack fluoro flipping jig.
  16. Has anyone else noticed these jigs come with 2 different hook sizes??? I have a few of these in 3/8 and 1/2oz(same bigger hook in both sizes) and I really like the ones with the bigger hooks and dont care at all for smaller ones. Went to bass pro and the black and blue ones had the bigger hooks and the other colors had the smaller ones.
  17. If I'm not mistaken the full grip champion xp 735c is shorter than the split grip version of the same rod.
  18. Can't wait to check em out!
  19. Anyone know anything about the new war eagle "jiu jigsu" jig? Saw it in the latest bassmaster magazine but cant find anything online about it. Designed by Andy Morgan and has an owner zo wire hook in it. Like I need any more Jigs but looking forward to seeing this one.
  20. No doubt the new ones feel great and I love the cork handles but the originals are more sensitive imo. That original blank with full cork would be sick!
  21. Anyone seen any original Tatula TAT761HFB flipping sticks still around anywhere? I have 2 of the newer models but still prefer the originals. Thanks
  22. They made a 7'1" MH X-fast rod in the original tatula line. I've got one and it's a sweet rod.
  23. Been eye balling the powell endurance rods here lately and the weight and balance feels pretty dang good especially for the price. I'm looking at their flipping/pitching rods and was curious how sensitive these rods are. Would love to hear some general opinions of these sticks and how they compare to dobyns XP's and HP's. Thanks
  24. I tie the knot that swindle uses. It's very strong and very easy to tie. Double the line like a palomar then wrap the doubled side up the line 3-5 times depending on line size then run it through the loop at the bottom. Wet and cinch down. There will be 3 tag ends. In my tests this knot outperformed the shaw grigsby knot more than once.
