  1. Ok I will ditch the light fluoro. That sounds good that I can throw a wide variety of baits on that setup.
  2. I have a 7’0” medium-heavy Abu Garcia vengeance rod, paired with a Abu Garcia revo sx 6.6:1 reel. Line is 40lb power pro braid with 8 lb Seaguar invizx fluorocarbon leader. Now if I could use this rod for mainly one or two bait presentations, what should I be using?
  3. Here is a rough map of my local reservoir. How big could I expect the bass here to get? 5lbs? 7lbs? I can not find this information online about weights and sizes of catch’s.
  4. I have some interest in wanted to possibly start a bass tournament on my local waters. How would I go about doing this? How do I get the public involved? Can I get KBF involved? Can I get TourneyX involved? How would I find out if there is even interest in a tournament? Do I have to get department of conservation involved? local reservoir is pepacton reservoir in deleware county NY.
  5. I would paddle that kayak around for a few days and see how your back appreciates it, then sell that boat and get a real fishing kayak. I would start looking on the website www.Austinkayak.com at fishing kayaks and reviews. Find what you like the. Go test paddle that exact boat and so on till you find what you like. Your ideas are great but not ideal and well suited for a yak like that.
  6. I am a Feelfree Moken 12.5 owner, my i first fishing kayak purchase 2 years ago. I absolutely love everything about that boat. It’s have great seat comfort, great stability, tracks straight, easy and convenient storage. If your looking for a good website to browse and get reviews I would look at AustinKayak.com
  7. The water I fish can have anything from 2lbs up to 15lbs. It’s a brown trout and smallmouth dominate reservoir. And I fish mostly live bait sawbellies, also 1/2oz spoons I believe, trolling and downrigging
  8. Can you use a bass rod to trout fish, I see six gill fishing is having a sale for the holiday on there spinning rods but I see that their bass fishing spinning rods Would that be acceptable for trout or are they two completely different rods?
  9. Wiley x is a garbage pos company, sent them back a pair of glasses and that company lost the glasses in there warehouse, out $200 ??? I’m cheap and Shady Rays glasses are super great quality for only $45 and have great customer service

So I’m just learning to how to tube fish and have watched a ton of videos. I’m having an issue with my weights and bait getting rigged. The head of my jig head doesn’t pop out of the bait like I have saw on so many videos. Does it matter if it actually stick out of tube or just breaks the surface and I can tie into it? I would upload pictures but it won’t allow me to cause of sizing issues
  11. I can’t keep the smallies off a baby bass lipless crankbait in the summer. It’s always a fun day of fishing to throw that.
  12. So I’m a heavy brown trout fisherman. I am fishing a man made reservoir. I fish consistently ugly stick gx2 rods 6,6 medium with miss matched reels(pflugher, evercast, Exceler). Would like to at some point find a great rod and reels combo. What you guys using? And should I stick with rods and find a good reel to pair with the rods? The ugly sticks are very well made.
  13. My first time following and actively watching the classic. Who every one favorite fisherman? KVD got my vote. Got some big fish one the fist day can’t wait to see how the rest of the weekend goes.
  14. Has anyone heard anything about the new Feelfree Dagon? I saw this YouTube video and his kayak looks awsome for covering water with its sleek profile. I am fishing a 2016 Feelfree moken 12.5 and love it as my full time fishing boat but this new one would be a great troller. .
  15. Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia line.
  16. I am a feel free owner. I did test paddle the lure but I am an owner of the 2016 12.5 Feelfree Moken. It’s only 34 inches wide compared to the lure being 36 and it tracks 100 percent true, and the lure will drift to the left or right at times. The lure is the most stable kayak I have ever paddles but the size and sluggishness of it wasnt well suited for me. The moken is also cheaper and was able to make better upgrades such as a nicer paddle and new life vest with extra money. The customer service is the best I have ever dealt with feel free company. The few times I have contacted them for smaller replacement parts they ship that day and send them to me at no charge.
  17. Fishing with plastic baits and jigs.
  18. That is very helpful, thank you.
  19. I have even yet to find a trout survey for my area, I know the stocking numbers but that it.
  20. So when does everyone official fishing season start? Here in NY it April 1 and bass season doesn’t open for keep till the third Saturday in June. How much does every one spend to get ready for there upcoming season? I’m already out about $300 and that just the basics, lines, terminal tackle, lures. Might even buy a new rod or reel too.
  21. I have to agree on that, hate how Stingy they are with the waters
  22. Thanks for the great Info, I figured it was a shot in the dark but like stayed some big largemouth do appear once in a while.
  23. I fish a dominate smallmouth reservoir in NY and have pull out and saw some largemouth out of it. I am wondering how would I determine the population of the large mouth? And how would I target them? Or am I wasting my time just enjoy the smallmouth? I enjoy smallish over the bucket mouths cause they fight much harder. I have always been curious cause I have saw some 5-7 lbs appear. This is a dominant brown trout and smallmouth reservoir that’s is 15 miles long and reaches depths of 150+ft
