im no expert but backplay when it comes to close tolerances can mean 15 yrs down the road more backplay .metal hittin metal long enough has to have some kind of efffect even if it is only 1 or 2 mm.Like rings on a piston if they anit tight you get more wear and of course oil blow by and many other things,lost compression my 2sense

to me accuracy means a few diff things i can roll cast left or right sideways, backwards,sitting,standing with a 5 -6 pistol grip and HIT my TARGET better and more effiecently then with a 6-6 rod and trigger grip.i Challenge anyone here to a target match within 20 foot no flippin or pitchin and u gotta use a 6-6 or longer rod with a trigger grip and we use a 3/8 jig

Close range yup better accuracy... but flippin or pitching does the same thing still hard to flip or pitch DEEP up under a pier or trees though thats where a 5-6 pistol grip rod excels roll casting

farm pond all walkin distance or 2 or three mins by truck ,potomac river is 15 mins away and the chesepeake bay is 30 mins ,patuxant is 20 mins ,a few small streams 10 mins away ,gilbert run is 30 mins from me and st marys river is 20 both of these are manmade lakes with electric only
