  1. Tatula CT differences from Fuego CT T-Wing system Bearings in the handle-knobs That's it - otherwise they're identical.
  2. I'm still there. Started with 3 rods in the canoe - 2 spinners and 1 BC Built a rod-rack prior to the second year - 3 spinners, 3 BCs Adding a second rod rack this winter - 4 spinners, 5 BCs It's an obsession...
  3. I'm still wary about using soda to stop fish bleeding. Yes, it stops the bleeding in the gills, by constricting the blood vessels there. Think about putting a clamp on the blood vessels that flow through your lungs - you'll be short of breath as your body isn't taking in the normal amount of oxygen. That's what happens when you constrict the blood vessels in a fishes gills - it's now short of 'breath' for how ever long the effect lasts. Personally - I'm staying clear of the soda treatment.
  4. Short forecast for us 14 below tonight 1 below for the high tomorrow 15 below tomorrow night. Ya, the lakes still have LOTS of hard water yet.
  5. Which is why a number of Rapala series (DT, Shad, Rattlin', etc) have 'Baby Bass' as a color selection.
  6. Life adapts - that's part of evolution. If that adaptation means going back to the beginning and starting over...oh well. One version of how it worked...I look elsewhere for explanations.
  7. I just have one thing to say to this This Could Be YOU! Wear your PFD!!!
  8. I'll probably just print them myself on 5x7 and put in frames. I have the technology.... That reminds me...need to do that to last year's best-of-the-year.
  9. Don't ask me - I haven't done that nasty thing for a few years.
  10. That's what makes them Pros.
  11. My PB - definitely release after a few pics. Even though my fishery is over 14,000 acres and there's good bass in it. 2-3 pounders on the other hand have a 50/50 chance of ending up in my freezer.
  12. Another item - once I finish painting the center-seat, this will be mounted to the aft side. Just a 4" wide piece of Lexan, drilled and painted. Gives me more control of the electrical. Mounted camera and tablet will run off the USB ports...no battery death!
  13. Well, it's the same design as last year's...just used a better quality wood this time and took more care painting it. Last year's was just a couple spray-coats slapped on. This year, two coats of Kilz Primer then two coats of brush-on latex-acrylic. This stuff actually
  14. Last year I only had six rigs and I was switching lures often enough that I went to nine and plan on taking them all out every time. So ya, I'll be taking all nine out this year.
  15. Okie-dokey - continuing on. This winter's mods are almost as intense as last winter's. First up, rebuilt the port rod-rack. Starboard rack is in process...ya, nine rigs now, so I needed another rack. I'm going with a lighter gray than last year - yes, the rear seat will be re-painted to the new color once some mods are done to it.
  16. Ya, they only come with one spool now. You can e-mail Pflueger, or there are a couple places that do sell spare spools - but they run about $30 each...I'd just get another reel at Wally-World for that price.
  17. Snow yesterday early left the trees in my yard 'frocked'.
  18. How about this...hop on a plane and come up to enjoy our 'wonderful' weather Wednesday. Predicted high is -19c (-3f).
  19. Another President fan here. Have a 25 that I use for UL/Panfish/Trout. Another option, and another reel I've been liking is a Pflueger Trion...really well built for the price. Get the 25 size in that and you're all set for less than the President, bit more than the Lews.
  20. I use the I-Boating app on my Galaxy. Have that on a mount directly above my Hook-2 (mounting position of Hook-2 and tablet has changed since this pic). I get 1' contours and GPS with tracking and waypoints. This is a recording of my July 31, 2019 trip when I caught my best-of-year.
  21. Around here that doesn't even qualify as 'snow' - more like light dandruff.
  22. Ya, I had to pop out for an errand. Tossed on the fall jacket (fleece lined corduroy). While in the truck thought, 'darn, it's cold'. Glanced at the rear-view - outside temp displays in the upper-right corner - and it was -5. Should have put on the winter jacket.
  23. Confirmation from the man himself...doesn't get any better than this.
  24. Nope - Irish there as well. Tullamore Dew.
