  1. Nice, I'm gonna guess.....5.41
  2. Thanks guys, that really means a lot. I hope I'm able to a bunch, I have a feeling I will because those are like my go to baits. Thanks again!
  3. Baby duck, caught it using a frog in the back of a cove.
  4. Ok, Well I'm fishing two to three days before. I can't really take off much more from school and my coach can't take off any more days than he is. I'll just have to suck it up and fish hard I guess. I want to become a proffesional, but that's a huge dream. I'm trying to learn as much as I can that way I can hopefully fish in college. So every fact I get I try to soak it up and use it. Thanks guys, y'all seem to know way more than I do , lol I'm still learning.
  5. It's the 14th of April. I was thinking about ledge fishing but I have never fished that way and wouldn't know how.
  6. I would go with two things, a craw style bait with some crazy colors those bass have never seen before. My other is gonna be really anything that imitates a blue gill. They hate bluegill during the spawn. My arsenal for the spawn in made up of mostly soft plastics and very few hard baits.
  7. Lol, they like the chatterbait on certain days. They crush it. Good luck
  8. Is there any specific type of cover that works best? Hope I'm not asking for to much.
  9. If you use electronics, cruise around in current and just find big rocks or boulders and throw some sort of craw in there. They like to hide behind these rocks as ambush points. If craws don't work, try some sort of bait fish approach like an underspin or a spinner bait. Good luck, hope this helps.
  10. Ok, I don't know if anybody said this one yet but when it's kinda chilly and the water is murky I'll go with a chatter bait. As far as colors go, If it's like chocolate milk stained go chartreuse and white. If it's just stained, go black and blue or a purple. The largemouth bass's best colors to see in the water is from purple to blue, or in other words that's what colors they are more attracted to.This bait will work at its best with overcast and wind. That works for me. Maybe this will help.
  11. Hey guys this is my second year fishing high school tournaments, and I have one at Pickwick. I'm not asking for your lunker holes, I just need to catch a limit. I'll be launching for J.p. Colman state park boat ramp. I have only fished here once and I only caught two fish weighing 6 pounds. I think there was another thread kinda on this but it was from like 2013. Hope I'm not asking for to much, thanks guys.
  12. The Duckett Ghost would be a good choice because it's light weight. After a long day of casting most rods start to get pretty heavy, plus its like 100.00 rod which isn't bad. As far as reel goes I like the lews speed spool.
