Fish the conditions. This year is wayyyyyy behind. People say fall and winter is pre spawn, spring is spawn, summer is post spawn. The fish don't know what day it is. All they know is when there is a warming trend for a little while, that they need to pull up and take a load off up shallow. Just ask yourself, what have the temps been for the past week. The temp they started coming shallow down here was 63.7 degrees. Hopefully this helps, we jacked a good bag last weekend at a local tournament with our best five being right at 27 pounds. The morning bite was on rocky banks, as the day warmed, they went towards the backs of the creeks that we were fishing.

That's what my pb bass was caught on, but worms have put more fish in the boat, depending on the way it's rigged.

I have made my own and it works great. If I add up how much money I've lost with how many baits I've gotten loose from being snagged, I would say pushing $200. I made it last year.

The ned rig, drop shot.

My buddy and I were flipping some grass one day, I was on deck running the trolling motor, i missed a fish and it stole my pinchers from the craw. I told him he could run while I got down to get a new craw and rig it. Well when I laid my rod down to grab the hook and craw, his foot caught the braided line and got a really good hook set on my hand. I don't have any pics but that 5 ought trokar flipping hook went throw that flap skin in between your thumb and my index finger.

I have fished them, I prefer to fish them on ledges in the summer and in different areas in the fall. Yeah I don't recall anybody saying a spoon as their favorite. Most people were with t rigs, c rigs, wacky rigs, ned rigs, pretty much a soft plastic rigged in different ways. Spoons will catch a lot of different species, because it imitates a dying shad or other bait fish. Most fish eat shad, it's an easy meal.

Well dude, I just asked for what's your confidence lure not all that. I didn't want to cause trouble or an argument. There is no magic bait for me. When the bait I think that's gonna catch them doesn't, that's when I try something else I think is gonna work under whatever the conditions are that day. If that bait that I'm confident that will catch them doesn't, it's going back in the bag. It doesn't matter what your throwing or what your doing, you HAVE to have confidence in it. Enough said.

If it imitates a craw, throw it. Crawfish are the most active bait around pre spawn. Throw blue gill colored things around and in the beds when they spawn. Bass hate blue gill and will eat them even if it means savin them babies.

Thank you sir for calling me weak, I can't help I'm 15 years old and may not be "mentally" strong or however you want to put it. I have confidence in every lure. That's the only way to catch fish is to believe. If you don't have confidence in anything your not gonna try to use it for very long, it's that way with anything. I'm trying to say when nothing else works what do you know is gonna catch them. I asked a simple question on this site about what's your confidence lure, not for how weak I am for liking to throw something more than others. Also thanks for calling me overrated, I like the encouragement.

I haven't seen hardly anyone say that they have confidence in cranks or Alabama rigs. That's the only reason I was able to pull some good fish we needed to make the cut a few weekends ago. Very very effective rigs.

I would have to agree with you on this one. I've caught a ton of fish with trebles, never had issues with killing the fish even if swallowed. I've lost way more fish trying to get a single hook out of their throat from a t rig or Carolina rig.

Berkely Lightning rod. A great, cheap cranking rod. I would also recommend a Ducket ghost.

When nothing else catches fish pull out a ned rig and a drop shot. You will catch big and small fish. You pretty much summed it up for what to use and catch fish.
