Hey guys, I fish a small 3 acre private pond once a month. The pond has bluegill, trout, crappie, and largemouth. It has a very healthy population of all species and is well managed. There is 1 or 2 MASSIVE largemouth bass! I'm talking a 9 and 10 pounder! I haven't had great success in this pond but the few fish I've caught were very healthy. So my question is how do I catch these behemoths? There is a dock, brush piles, and sunken trees. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I have a Shimano Sahara from 2007. It still works like new and can handle anything. I also have a Daiwa BG that I purchased some time last year, and have been very impressed. Both are exceptional reels! You can't go wrong with one or the other.

A better question is how often do you not get skunked.

So I was browsing Dicks and I noticed these Savage Gear frogs on sale for $3.74. Are these good frogs? Do they compare to Booyahs and Spro frogs? They seem like a cheaper alternative to other frogs, and I was wondering what your guys experience was with them.

Nope, I primarily fish a small community pond. Ok, I'll wait with my hookset. Would 40 lb braid be adequate? I see alot of people use 50 or 65 but that just feels like overkill to me.

How do you guys cut the legs on your frogs? Very short or leave them long? And what are the benefits of long or short legs?

I have one and it's an amazing reel! Only problem is that the paint scratches sooo easily.

I am looking at getting another reel. I narrowed to the Daiwa Fuego ct or Abu Garcia Revo S. I think the Revo is a bit nicer of a reel but it's double the price of the Fuego. What would you guys recommend?

Bait monkey got me too, got 2 whopper ploppers a 130 munky butt and 110 i know it. Also a spinnerbait, crankbaits, glidebait, swimbait, and lipless crankbait.
