  1. Lake Chicot is in Arkansas. Close to Lake Village.
  2. Thanks Tom and good luck on the FLW!!!!!
  3. Well said, Catt
  4. Sorry if I offended. Certainly did not mean to do that!!!!! I know the breakdown that Tom and others give, but have learned to read between the lines in certain instances. Long Mike probably summed it up best!!!
  5. Yes, I read Tom's report, but even his have been a bit vague. Thanks for the info.
  6. Not heard much about Lake Fork, not even from some of the guides. Anyone know how the fishing is right now. Was there back in October and it was very, slow. The Fishing Reports about Fork have been vague to say the least. Must still be slow!!!
  7. I spent a week at Fork in March of this year. On Monday, we loaded the boat; several 5 to lbrs. On Tuesday, a front came through and dropped a load of rain. Wednesday morning, the water was high and muddy. Caught only 5 fish a day on average the rest of the week.
  8. Lipless cranks, weightless plastics (fluke, tiki bamboo)
  9. Might try Lee White. Have heard mostly good things about him.
  10. watermelon/black flake tiki stick!!!!!!!! fished sllllooooowwwww
  11. For whatever its worth, while your throwing the traps, you might try one with a bit of chartreuse on it. There is one that is red craw on top and chartreuse on the belly. Also, the weightless wave, bamboo stick in watermelon with black flake fished really, really, sloooowwwwww seems to work well. Just what has worked for me.
  12. Lake Fork is quickly becoming my favorite place to fish. Have only been on the Lake 4 times, but it has been a productive 4 trips. Living just outside of Bryat I was hesitant to try this lake, but am certainly glad I did. It is 240 miles from my house to the Hwy. 515 Boat ramp. Makes for a long day!!!! Friday, made the trip. Only caught 5, but two were in the 6lb range, and one was 8lb 3oz. Will be going back in a couple of weeks. I was going for the shallow bite. All but one were caught on weightless tiki in watermelon with black flake. Post pics soon.
  13. If anyone is interested, made a trip to Lake Fork last weekend. Caught 11 slot fish. Largest was 6lb 4oz. Call all of them on Red Craw/Chartreuse belly Rat-l-trap. Wind was blowing 20 to 25 mph. Made fishing very interesting. Plan on going back again tomorrow.
  14. Fished Birch Creek Area with weightless tiki worms.
  15. Pretty good trip to Fork. Caught several in the 3 to 5 range. We were fishing for the 5' to 12' bite. Probably should have gone a bit deeper. I have never fished Fork this time of year before, so wasn't confident in the deeper bite, but will be going back in a few weeks and will stay with the deeper bite.
