  1. Baitcast: Daiwa Fuego Spinning: Daiwa Fuego
  2. Have sworn by it since I started fishing with my grandpa as a kid. He swore by it and it has never let me down.
  3. If you're on a budget, I know plenty of people that have fished the Abu Garcia Black Max hard, are happy and get a few seasons out of them. They're about $50 bucks. As others have said fixing it just might not be worth it.
  4. I keep track of air temp, skies, time of day, water clarity, lure used and approximate fish size on an Excel spreadsheet. It really has helped throughout the years.
  5. My Grandfather's love of the outdoors and fishing inspired me in my youth, along with spending every Saturday morning watching Bill Dance. Spent a few years away from fishing and my son being born re-ignited the passion. The quality time we spend together doing something that we love and are passionate about is priceless. Great thread @MacJig!
  6. In cold water I use a Seibert's Swim Jig or a SK Bitsy Bug with a Rage Tail Menace or a Zoom Chunk.
  7. Black with Blue Flake, Watermelon with Red Flake and Cinnamon with Purple Flake.
  8. Rage Tail Space Monkey t-rigged. So versatile!
  9. @J._Bricker You hit the nail on the head. Like you, the Bass Resource family has brought so much knowledge and led to so much time with my father and son. Grateful for everyone here!
  10. Full cork grips on my spinning gear. Split grip cork on my baitcasters. Winn would be my second choice if cork was unavailable. Wouldn't buy straight foam as I don't like how it feels.
  11. BR Members @Catt @roadwarrior @J Francho @Glenn @Big-O Pros Bill Dance Hank Parker Kevin VanDam Greg Hackney Bill Lowen
  12. Owner Twist Lock 3/0 or 4/0 have always done well for me.
  13. Siebert swim jigs with a Rage Tail Menace or Keitech Swing Impact the majority of the time.
  14. Daiwa Fuego CT 8.1:1 Dobyns Fury 663C Siebert Swim Jig with Rage Tail Menace Trailer 12 lb Stren
  15. Gamakatsu 1/0 Octopus Circle Hooks are all I use for wacky rigging. For me, the fish don't come unbuttoned.
  16. Menace-Hard Candy and Black Blue Flake Space Monkey- Hard Candy and Black Blue Flake
  17. Owner or Gamakatsu octopus circle hooks. Have never had a senko fish come unbuttoned with either hook.
  18. I use a backpack with three 3700 boxes. Also, I carry one spinning combo and one baitcasting combo.
  19. Black with blue flake and male perch have worked for me in those conditions.
  20. Mike's customer service and the quality of his product are second to none. They are the only jigs that I use anymore.
  21. A big fan of the Space Monkey. Texas rigged, Rage rigged, on a jig head, or as a jig trailer this bait continues to produce for me. The rest of my plastics are: Senkos Keitech Swing Impacts Rage Tail Menace Rage Tail Craws Rage Tail Rage Bug Zoom Trick Worm
  22. Swim jigs, soft plastics rigged on a 1/4 oz jig head and senkos.
  23. A trailer 100% of the time. Trailer choice depends on a few factors, but I usually use a Rage Tail Menace most and mix in a Swing Impact, Rage Bug or Rage Craw depending on conditions.
  24. Black and blue is one of my two biggest producers in any water clarity. As far as vibration, if the conditions call for more vibration, I use a trailer with more action such as a Rage Tail Craw.
  25. Great value and choice for someone wanting to fish on a budget. Used a Lightning Rod with a BPS PQ baitcaster for years with great success until I upgraded. Heck, I wouldn’t hesitate to take the combo out and use it today if my current combo broke.
