  1. Great Question, thanks for asking and thanks for the replies. I will go practice!!! GO BIG RED
  2. We catch to eat every year, however we fish for Walleye or Crappie, just a personal preference. I have seen some ponds and small lakes (Under 100 acres) that have needed some harvesting but then also seen them so overkept that they become fished out. Bigger lakes in our area don't seem to have that problem. In my boat if it's a bass it's going to swim again. GO BIG RED
  3. Thanks for the thoughts. After 3 trips over the last 3 weeks I think I have most of the Cabela's store in my suburban. (Had to leave it out there so my wife doesn't find it) We are heading out Sunday and I will be in contact with Triton 21 as to whats working and whats not. I will also try to post nightly. GO BIG RED
  4. Thanks, I will have my computer and digital so hopefully there will be something to report everyday. Wish I was with the group but maybe next year.
  5. Shallow with weeds for quantity. Medium with wood for "biguns". GO BIG RED
  6. Thanks guys, was hoping for a few more replies as I'm heading to Cabela's to finish of the tackle box. Sure appreciate the feedback. Kelley I will call on Monday to update you to what Roy Greer has told/taught us. GO BIG RED
  7. Well Guys were heading for Lake Fork this Sunday for a week. First and foremost I wish I hadn't booked my trip before I found bassresource.com. I am envious of the camaraderie of the official trip. However I do think it may be an advantage to be down there before the "Big Dogs" come in. Heres my question: If you could only have 3 to 5 items in your tackle box for the week what would they be? Give color, weight, size and reason. I thought this is the fastest way to pick many great brains. They're calling for sunshine and mid seventies air temp which should warm the water to the mid 50's. Give me some feedback and I will post every night to how it goes. Thanks and as always GO BIG RED!
  8. Thanks Bighead, We are coming in the week of the 12th through the 17th. Just ahead of the group. I appreciate the post and have sent you a PM. GO BIG RED
  9. Am I trying to make a rod do something it was not built for. Do I need to replace any piece? GO BIG RED I Know the Bait Monkey heard that!
  10. Hi Guys, I need your expertise and opinions. In the two weeks I've been a member I realize there are no shortage of either on this site. I'm grateful I found it, I've really learned how much I don't know. My question is this, help me match up, sale off, or add to my rod/reels for the proper application. Here's what I have and intend to use them for, please give feedback for what you do or not do. Thanks in advance. 12. Has anyone ever used or have an opinion on the Bass Fishing Matrix. This appears to be a tool that may have some advantages for those of us that are a little unsure of selection of lure, color, ect. If you haven't seen it, you can go to www.bassfishingmatrix.com. I'm interested in purchasing it and don't want to add to my collection of the "next best, greatest, gizmos that are really crap. GO BIG RED
  13. Please give feedback on Red colored hooks. Do you use them, Why and When? Thanks!
  14. It looks like tko needed some husker support and I have a question. Is there open water at Coffey County at present? Go Big Red
