  7. Here's a couple of pics from our Lake Fork trip in March and this weeks Red Willow Res. in Western Nebraska. We caught 25 bass with the largest in the pic going 6.5lbs at Fork. At Red Willow we caught 8 different species of fish. We were looking for a Master Angler Wiper but that was not to be this trip. The Northern's were so aggressive we couldn't keep them off the hook. added a pic of a nice double wiper GO BIG RED (Thanks for the help KU) 1st Northern at Red Willow Steves Northern at Red Willow Nice Double Wiper at Red Willow

  10. my daughter and I went out on Saturday evening and the wind was blowing hard. 20 minutes into it my trolling motor foot pedal started smoking and burning. What a bummer new boat and trolling motor only 6 weeks old. Ruined the night. GO BIG RED
  11. Great Job, was the wind as bad up there as it was here? GO BIG RED
  12. Grew up in Montana with a fly rod in my hand and a grandfather that thought a spinning reel was for sissy's. Came to college in Nebraska and had to fish for something, so I lowered myself to this thing called "Bass". It was like free crack on the school yard. Some 20 years later I spent 35K on a boat and only the lord knows how much at Cabela's. And except for fishing with my favorite uncle I could care less if I ever put another fly rod in my hand again. GO BIG RED
  13. Sam Keller and now a personal best. Very Nice SODASKER. And as always: GO BIG RED!!!
  14. Roy Greer (thebassclinic.com) on Lake Fork, TS provides an instructional on water, on your boat type of service. Not really a camp but he does have a private lake. Cost maybe more prohibative than a camp enviroment. I learned a ton in one day and everyone that has used him that I have spoken with has said the same. GO BIG RED
  15. That reminds me of my "why my marriage lasts saying" "THINK IT DON"T SAY IT""THINK IT DON"T SAY IT""THINK IT DON"T SAY IT". GO BIG RED
  16. Great fish, Great story! I'm having almost as much fun reading "The Adventure's of Fish Chris" as fishing myself. GO BIG RED
  17. RWHusker. replied to T-rig's topic in Fishing Reports
T-rig, It's great to have good fishing, I just with the scenery wasn't so flat and ugly. GO BIG RED
  18. I've swore to never saltwater fish again. I bet I've spent $2,000 in the last 20 years and have had very minimal results. Give me Bass or Give me Bass. GO BIG RED
  19. We have a BPS and a Cabela's. I feel like Norm at Cheers when I walk in. GO BIG RED
  20. I have ran 91 to 93 (premium) because I was told to by the service person I bought the boat from. The manual says 87. I was also told to use a $15 carbon burning additive and absolutely no ethenal. What are other thoughts. Rod GO BIG RED
  21. It's a different hat every year. This year I'll be sporting a Lake Fork (Husker Red) cap. Purchased with love at the Minnow Bucket. The problem with this is if the hat sucks it can lead to a bad year. GO BIG RED
  22. Since I bought my boat I could careless to ever get a chigger bite again :). GO BIG RED
  23. Help!! Been out twice since returning from Texas with no luck so far. Water temp 45-47. What should I try for lures, depth, Ect.? Thanks, GO BIG RED
  24. Thats the one I left for you Kelley! Great Fish, I can't wait to go back and try it again. Thanks again to you and Bighead for all the pre-advice for our trip. Again the more I read the more I wish we would have been a week later. Rod
  25. My first boat was a 30 year old 15 ft alum. Loved It, no room for the family. My second was an 8 yr old 18.5 glass Astro fish and ski. Loved it and would have it today but blew the engine and my dilema was how do I spend 4k to 9.2K on a rebuild or new motor for a now 11 year old boat. My third boat is a new 21.5 ft Stratos and you guessed it, I love it. To me its all about what you can afford and making the appropriate financial decision for your family. I would still have my 2nd boat if I wouldn't have had the problem. (And 20K). Good luck and have fun. I also agree to upgrading to the biggest boat you can afford. The Canoe takes care of small water. GO BIG RED
