Wow, it was a perfect day to be kayak fishing. Went to Leavenworth County Lake and caught so many I lost count. Water is still really low but there was a lot of boats out today. Didn’t catch any large ones but I had a blast.

I went to Belcher Branch for the first time last weekend. Bite was extremely slow but I did manage to catch my first bass on a frog ? on a spinning rod. That was fun. I think I need to to get myself a Frog Rod.

Very nice. Been thinking about about trying my luck at La Cygne this weekend.

Took my kayak to Guy B near Platte City yesterday to try a couple new rigs out. First I went with a weightless fluke and caught a few dinks along the banks. Then I switched to a drop shot which was very frustrating to work thru all the weeds but I did manage to catch quite a few dinks. After that I switched to a small chatterbait and trailer fished in the middle of the lake just above the weeds and had better luck and pulled in about a 2.5-3 lb’er and a bunch of smaller ones. Probably pulled in about 30 total all together. Had a great time and learned a lot.
