I actually do these things already, I think I'm just being way over concerned with it. I just went out and tried it with the slight bend and landed a 5 pounder with no issues. Thanks for the replies.

Great responses from all! Thanks much, it's greatly appreciated. So I've been using the snap for the last week or so and have been going to the split ring, it's been so much more convenient than trying to get it into the tiny eye. So far, so good! Caught a few nice ones one it with zero issues.

Hey BR! I'm having a very frustrating issue that I'm sure there's a simple answer to because I can't find anyone else complaining about it lol. When I Texas rig a craw or hug with a straight shank flippin hook, I can't seem to keep the bait straight! Either I have to go in at angle at the top, which obviously won't sit in line with the punch weight. Or if I go straight in, you have to kinda bend the bait to get the hook into it. I feel so dumb with this one..... ?‍♂️?‍♂️???

This is exactly what I was thinking and hoping others would reassure me. I got the 60 lb crosslocks from berkley, I believe they are size 3. I mostly use squarebills.

Hey guys quick question. I know there's going to be different answers so I'm hoping some one can fill me in on the why's. I decided to use berkley crosslocks on my crank rod but I'm torn on a couple things.... 1. Should I connect directly to the lure or to the split ring? 2. If I do connect to the lure direct, will it hurt to leave the split ring on in case I ever need to use it without a snap for some reason? 3. What kind of difference in action to you notice from one to the other? Thanks in advance for any and all help everyone!

I've been using a fluorocarbon leader since I started fishing and after reading these responses im really starting to think I'm wasting my time lol. I just took the leader off my worm / t-rig rod and retied. I'll let ya know how I do tomorrow morning ??

Something happened to me today that really surprised me after what I've read about this line. I just got a lews mach 1 spinning setup and put 20 lb pp on it. Normally I slap a fluorocarbon leader on it and call it a day but 15 was the lightest I had so I decided to try the 8 lb cx premium I have. On my first cast with a shaky head I had my line go slack so I went to cross some eyes and d**n near broke my new rod.... It was under a piece of cement ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️ anyway the point was that it bent out a really stout hook and didn't break the cx line... THAT impressed me. It was connected to the braid with a crazy alberto and an ICK at the jig.

How does that have any reflection on my parents when I'm an adult? He doesn't have a home lake. He fishes in the same tiny retention pond every day. Probably catching the same fish hahaha. I'm over it, finally just told the dude the truth, that he's a frigging joke, and moving on to find true bass anglers to fish with.

The only reason I said that is from what other people keep telling me... I thought I was doing what everyone does, then I started showing people some of my catches and telling the where I caught them, they had trouble believing me lol I love senkos, they are great. If anything, they are too easy sometimes lol. That was my point to my buddy, anyone can catch 20 dinks on a senko.
