  1. Many people compair baby 1- to wake baits like bandit fo otloose, try it again. It dives 1 foot give or take a couple inches. Most wake baits run only inches under the surface.Rod angle of course changes the running depth of all cranks but there is a huge differance between baby 1- and footloose or any squarebill.Baby1- is my favorite crank from 0 to 4 feet almost year round. BTR
  2. Still my fav. crank. Its a tidal water terror.Besides triple grip hooks and a snap in its nose I only buy the old ones .Manns new lures are trash .What a shame what they have become. The old baby 1- has better rattles ,paint thicker plastic and a different size lip.It is the perfect tidal river / pond bait almost year round.. BTR
  3. I have not fished conowingo lake in 12 years, and with all the rain I heard its bad.Tx this month and may not get a chance to pre-fish,any info would be great.Thanks...BTR
  4. Like the boat .Like it so much it looks just like my 2000 stratos.I have the same motor.Compared to my 1989 stratos its nimble and very quick to 60+.I think you will be happy.I cant tell you what I paid for mine. im such a sucker.ENJOY
  5. I can"t help myself, always tinkering with lures.Im sure there are times when rattles should help.Someone must have tried it.
  6. I know the reasons when rattles are effective like heavy stained water, aggresive fish etc. What about post spawn,3 feet clarity would you put rattles on a chatterbait. Any personal experiance to confirm.thanks btr.
  7. 90% of the bass are in 10% of the water./start fast spinnerbaits, crankbaits, chatterbaits then slow worms,jigs,creatures./ acurate casting practice in your back yard/ focus and confidense. btr

  11. Love the sass. but it can be tuff. Just got back into this year and havent fished sass. much lately . most of the creeks are shallow but if theres a 3-4foot near by the fish can get very shallow. Dark blue soft plastics ,blue/black jigs and shallow cranks worked for me.I fish the same waters you do and ill be on the northeast river today, hope to see you out there. good luck bend them rods.
  12. I used to play with old pontiacs T/As/formuls but my presant toy is a 05 chrysler crossfire SRT6 rag top.Love modern handling and superchargers but due miss laying rubber for 50 feet..
  13. thanks for the warm welcome baby1s are popular in tidal rivers where i fish.the new baby1s seem to have a more stream-lined wobble and less or smaller rattles. I miss one of my favorite search baits. by the way im new to forums or even computers so sorry in advance if Im screwing anything up Bent rods everyone !
