I've never fished a tourney, but have made it a goal to change that this year. I live close to Texas and have pondered joining some Texas trails and make a living doing it. I often persuade myself that it's possible, now I just need to persuade the wife.

Do you have copilot or i-pilot on yours? Is yours 45lb? Mine has copilot it looks like, because the one side of the base says "copilot" and it has the plug ins there. I figured that out on my own, but the seller didn't know much about boat to begin with. Is this trolling motor compatible with i-pilot? That'd be even better!

What do yall recommend for a battery to run the trolling motor and could lights? It's 45 lb power drive 12 volt.

Thanks for the input and advice fellow fisherman. I went with the flat bottom. It's in almost new shape, has a decent trolling motor and the 4 stroke mercury. It'll do for now

I believe the biggest factor is having my 3 year old son, and once she's big enough, my 7 month old daughter out on the water. Maybe I'll bribe the wife to join, too. ? I appreciate everyone's take. The boat is too good a deal to pass up. Maybe next year I can get a kayak, too! Why not both ??‍♂️

I'm in the process of getting either of these. What's everyone's preference? If I get a kayak, it'll have a trolling motor or peddle system. The John boat in looking at is 18 foot fairly new with fairly new mercury 4stroke 5hp, with trolling motor. The kayak would be around $1k, vs the boat is $2k. Mind you, I'll be fishing all winter and was wondering how kayak fisherman deal with the seasonal effects. Thanks for input.

It's a sad day at this household. I sold the ole Nitro. It's been a dependable steed for the couple years I owned her. She never let me down and was my first bass boat. I'll have another later in life, for now kids are priority. But I'm looking into kayaks as a band-aid for the self-inflicted wound haha.

Does anyone have any leads as top where I could find a set of 13" centerless hubcaps For boat trailer? I've looked online everywhere today and haven't been able to find anything. Help is appreciated.
