Minkota probably sells way more than the others maybe thats more neg reveiws. Sounds like you had good service from your past minkota why change brands. As for me Minkota been very dependable.

East penn makes a good battery's, been using them for years with no issues. USA made not waiting on a barge to be unloaded.

Had a nice Thanksgiving, 16 family members. Food and conversation was good. Lots of leftovers in the Fridge. Hope you all had a good one also.

I visit the Pensacola area where my daughter lives but never thought about bass fishing in that area. As a northerner brown bass fisherman thinking I should give it a try. Looking for some advice on time of year,I usually visit spring/fall. Also any suggestions on a guide service would be great. Don't have to be trophy fish just a good time on the water. Thanks guys, did some checking found i would need to spend at least $600 in parts to make switch. Let alone buy the motor. Thinking ill stay with what I have for awhile longer.

I have an 05 lowe console steer with small 4 stroke merc carb engine 20hp, thinking of switching to a little larger yamaha. Question is would old cables hook up to yamaha and if not whats all needed to switch.

Oh it's slow up here also, Sunbury area, but a few can be had. Better times ahead I hope.

Pa. Can be a pain. Your need title for boat. And title for trailer. If anyone has pa. Registration cards somewhere they both have title # on them to get copies but you still need someone to sign them over to you. You could use on a private pond with out paperwork. Good luck

Just recently changed oil first time using amsoil10 30 outboard oil. After 20 to 30 mins running, hot day upstream. Oil light came on could not get out oil was full. Got back home drained refilled with new amsoil . Ran with ears on 30 mins no issues. Anyone ever have and issue. Thinking maybe go back to merc oil. Thanks for your input.

Sounds like control panel inside,if your handy take sides off there are 2 wires feeding to the motor about 10ga, pull off at conectors, supply power to red ground to other , if motor runs it's the control right where you disconnected wires. If not running need motor. Hope this helps
