  1. I couldn't stop going through this thread to see every bait you have posted. Amazing art work.
  2. He didn't ask them to move, he just told them it wasn't cool. He handled the situation very well. I have seen some anglers act really childish. I totally agree, they don't own the water. I feel the locals have more right to the spots than the Pros. Don't quote me but I believe Latimer did say they where watching him fish for a while, then as soon as he left moved on to his spot.
  3. I find it insane that someone would do that during a huge national tournament. At least let them weight in before you go jump on that spot. I wouldn't want my face broadcasted all over the TV. If they are local kids I'm sure they'll get a whole lot of backlash from local anglers.
  4. Agreed if your dealing with locals on a Sunday afternoon fun fishing. But, when your fishing for 100k its a big difference. The kids did move out of the way without argument which was good. They had their faces blasted all over national TV. Embarrassing for them.
  5. Hey Guys, I'm sure some of you watched the flw tournament this weekend on lake Seminole. At one point B-Lat moved off his spot and started sight fishing. But, when he returned to his spot 2 high school kids where on the exact spot he had been fishing the last 4 days. Seems to me they must have been watching and poached his spot. What's everyone's option on this? I believe he handled the situation very well.
  6. I started using VMC neko hooks, love them, super sharp have had great hookups.
  7. Hunter Shryrok said it best on one of his YouTube videos. He mentioned that these guys will shake your hand on the dock and be your best friend but as soon as you hit the water they turn into a different person.
  8. Last year was my first time owning a big bass boat. lets just say I learned a good amount... Being in New England our April is normal pretty cold. But, I was so excited to get this new boat on the water. I spent my whole Friday off cleaning, organizing de-winterizing the boat etc. So, I get to the water Saturday with my buddy, as soon as we pull up the safety boat inspectors start checking the boat and talking to us. They tell us maybe one other boat was out and to be careful because of how cold it is. So I unload and troll out to a ledge to find some winter bass. (troll on the electric trolling motor with the wind pushing us). We fish for maybe 45 minutes and realize it was so cold and miserable lets head back. I turn the key, motor won't start. This goes on for 15 minutes with nothing. I troll back to the boat launch which took forever because the wind is coming at us. Finally get back to the ramp, and I can not for the life of me keep the boat straight to get in on the trailer, the wind was whipping diagonal into the ramp. I get into the water in my jeans to try to push the boat on to the trailer, I cant get deep enough to push it on. Now the boat is swinging on to the rocks. With every wave I can see a sharp rock digging into the fiber glass. I decide that the only way to get the boat over the bunks was to full submerge the trailer and push the boat over the top and slowly pull the truck out. We did that 3 times and on the third it fit on perfect. Freezing to death my feet are bleeding from the cold rocks. This was the most miserable day of fishing I have ever had, never been so cold in my life. The next day I start diagnosing the motor with revenge. Come to find out, when I was cleaning the boat, smart me turned my fuel tank selector switch to (drum roll please) OFF POSITION. About a month after that, same lake. I launch the boat after a long day of work, beer iced, fishing poles rigged. I turn my battery disconnect switch to on and my motor begins to trim upwards. I can not get it to stop unless I disconnect the switch. We start to follow wires and looking bad grounds etc. Anything to get us fishing, an hour later of trying to get it fixed, I give up. I back the truck up into the water, hop on the boat, and lean over to hook the winch to my boat. as I am doing this I realize that I am leaning on my Ram arm that is connect to my bow HDS 7. Then I see that the ram arm tightening knob is pressed into my trim up switch at the bow. We laughed pretty hard after. Lastly, me and my co-angler where fishing at a local tournament. Not having much luck since the early morning. My buddy pitches to the left of a dock. With my surprise his rod comes flying back and has one of those hook sets where the line is screaming. I jump into action grab the net and he starts yelling "dude 10 pounder". He reels it in half way. What emerges is a 6 foot long branch. I nearly ticked my self.
  9. I started on a kayak before I bought my glass boat. I have never had an issue, if they cut in front of me they probably don't know better. NOW, wake boats.. someone needs to teach these guys its not cool to do circles around my boat when I am trying to fish offshore.
  10. I am 24 and during the summer I am on my boat more than at home. My dad fished very seldom when I was very young, mostly ocean, off the bridges in Panama, Florida. I highly doubt I could ever get him on the boat to fish with me now. I taught my self how to fish and use a boat. I think its just in the blood. My brothers are 16 and they like fishing but I would never be able to get them up at 4am on a Saturday. We also grew up camping and racing motocross, so I have always been outside on the weekends. I completely agree that my generation is glued to our phones. I mean the first thing I bought when I came home from boot camp was a XBOX One and a new baitcaster. But, the electronics don't keep me from have a great day on the water.
  11. SSgt Usaf 2013-2019
  12. I fished for a long time switching the rod between my hands until I forced my self to cast with my right and reel with my left. So much easier.
  13. Medium all day love skipping senkos under docks with my 6' 10" M.
  14. High speed reel for punch and frogging id go with a tatula.
  15. Looks good to me. I use 10-15lb braid on all my spinning rods with a leader. For crank baits 10lb if I want to get deep. Everything else depends on how heavy the cover is and water clarity.
