  1. These are flat out SWEET boats.. little out of my price range though haha! I suppose I should have specified my price range but it’s good to know what people like for future reference! I suppose you could get away with walleye fishing out of that too. Also I don’t see why you couldn’t troll out of that unit as well! ?? Super sweet rig
  2. Just curious what everyone’s opinions are on aluminum bass boats and/or multi species boats. I’m not a big fan of deep V hulls and I want something a little less bulky. So to anyone who has owned, or fished out of one.. What’s your favorite aluminum bass-style boat?
  3. I just recently joined that page! Call me a negative Nancy but I feel like a lot of those boats are extra used and abused! But again I’ve only been a part of it for a couple of days yet, I’ll keep my eye out!
  4. You’re right about the wind, but that rarely stops people around here from going fishing haha. Most of our lakes aren’t too big, and the major waves are found on the Missouri River. Which I don’t fish unless I’m in my brother’s guide boat. I’m also considering a 99 Ranger Cherokee, being that it’s aluminum I won’t have to worry about the hull as much.
  5. I’ll try, it’s a pain since I have a 16 foot crestliner in the garage. It’s either I just fish out of that for the year or I clean it up to sell it.. but if I do that I’d like to find something ASAP so I can fish haha!
  6. Well to be honest I can’t exactly say haha, it’s hard to plan time off of work to buy a boat without looking at it first. But if I had to guess I’d probably be okay with driving 3-6 hours away for a good deal. This will be my first bass boat so I’m a little clueless about it all.
  7. Oh wow, thats kind of a buzzkill haha. It comes with a Terrova trolling motor and a few other extras but that doesn’t beat your Ultrex, that alone is half the price of this boat ?. Maybe I’ll keep looking around, that’s the closest bass boat available to be since I’m in a walleye state. Not many bass guys in South Dakota.
  8. Hey guys, I’ll try and keep it short. I’ve done about as much research as I can, so I decided to ask for your opinions. I found a 94 Ranger sport R72 for sale about an hour away from me, guy wanted 7k but ended up lowering it to $5500 because he needs the garage space. His pics aren’t the best (and I can post if needed) but he claims it’s always been stored inside and I won’t be disappointed. I have no idea how to value glass boats, and NADA guides seem to be of little help. The boat has a 90hp Mariner on the back, says he just got the boat back from Cabela’s and it’s all ready for the lake. With paperwork to prove it. Should I jump on this deal?? Or is that a pretty average asking price for the year/model. Thanks!
  9. I’d like to pick one of these up if the price isn’t too steep.. Sure the color is odd but only 1000 made? That’s pretty cool if you ask me. Plus Okuma makes quality gear, worth a shot.
  10. I’ve found nada to be very unreliable.. says the hull is worth $3000 and the 120hp outboard is a $200 add-on. That can’t be right.
  11. I’m in the market for a glass boat but the pricing is all over the place, most in my price range are either beat up or 15+ years old. Is it even worth my trouble, or do I stick with aluminum until my budget is bigger? I love the platform of bass boats and it’s tough to find aluminum ones, that’s the whole reason I want to go with glass. I’m still gonna be on the lookout, but what should I look for when justifying price? For instance I found a 97 Nitro 700lx with 120hp Mercury for $8000. Looks clean in pictures but I’m going off of zero knowledge. Thanks in advance!!
  12. That’s one of the best looking setups I’ve ever seen! ?????? I guess I’m just worried about the high mileage, with the AFM and then there’s the AWD system... I’m looking for a sharp, rust free, and overall, a reliable truck!
  13. Do you plan on keeping it? Think it will run another 150k? I'm really on the fence about it.
  14. Athlean-X is about the most trusted fitness channel on youtube all solid info
  15. What a fricken UNIT! Keep it up, I'm in the gym daily and I can only hope to look as good as you when i'm at that age.
  16. His asking price is 8k obo, but i'd probably offer 6k. Think im going to pass on it though, little too big for me..
  17. I'm in the salt belt and plan on flying south for a truck, before winter. My mom is in Dallas, TX so ill visit her and drive a truck back I found a 2007 Sierra Denali, 6.2 v8 with 173k miles on it, body and interior look great from the pictures. I'm just concerned about the high mileage. I know the 5.3 and 6.0 are built to last but the 6.2 is a "high performance" engine. I see chevys with 250k+ all day long but.. none are the 6.2. Anyone have the similar truck or same motor? Any issues? Thanks in advance guys.
  18. Toyotas are infamous for frame rust which leads to all sorts of bad stuff
  19. Well with winter right around the corner "the right time" to buy a truck isn't anywhere near haha. And I'm not sure where you're from but in South Dakota Toyotas are NOT readily available, especially used. I'm not the kind of guy to buy a truck with 200k (most tacomas) otherwise I'd already have one. Not what I wanted to hear about the titan though.
  20. Toyota is a breed of their own, my last two vehicles have been Toyotas. (SUVs not pickups) And I would already own a Tacoma if they weren't so overpriced. They hold their value a little TOO well haha!
  21. I'd like to stay in that 18 ft range, and I've found quite a few.. But to be honest with you I'm a picky guy when it comes to spending my money haha! I want to buy someone's "second wife" if you will, a boat that someone has taken excellent care of and loved every minute.
  22. Wondering if anyone here owns a Titan, and how they feel about it. I've been on the hunt for a decent truck recently and for some reason I keep looking at them instead of "the big 3" brands. I live in the salt belt and rust is bad here, most guys don't take care of their trucks. But I haven't seen many rotted out nissans ? What's also appealing to me about the Nissan is the 5.6 v8 and its towing capacity. Anyone have any thoughts on them? I've heard mostly good things about them so far.
  23. mind me asking what you paid for the triton? seems like they're one of the harder used boats to find!
  24. Anyone notice this thread is from 2010? Haha! Anyways.. there are guys that take kayaks out into the ocean. It’s all about your experience and what you’re comfortable with.
  25. With my first search of stratos I find a 1995 with 2016 150 e tec Evinrude for 10k obo... you might have opened a whole new can of worms for me haha!
