My girlfriend and I were talking about my shopping for a jon boat, and she asked why they were called jon boat. I did a quick search of the internet, but wanted some of yalls input

i have to chew seeds when on the boat or in the woods. just a natural habbit for me. stay away from the tobacco though

i had a kawaski jet ski and i would fish from it occasionally without any mods. it worked well for the fishing close to shore. good luck

my major here at Clemson University was Wild Life and Fisheries Biology. I recently changed to pursue other interests. I worked at a hunting club in high school and my boss's degree was the same, Wild Life and Fisheries from Clemson.

I just sold my 21 ft Triumph in december due to cost reasons, and the fact that i dont have a boat to take fishing, in any manner is about to kill me. I am a college student, so im going to down size and look at jon boat/kayak to fish with. I want to spend about 1000, i can push more if its close. Where can i get the best deal on a jon boat? I dont want a motor, i will put a trolling motor instead. thanks I'm in the Northern South Carolina area.

On my 21ft, i used oversized fenders. I havent heard of anything that is fool proof

those are both great, my ideas were thinking more of the first example. Do you know if you can make that tight to the ceiling? looks like it archs down pretty low. (regarding the first link)

Hey guys, new to the forum- I am a college student and have to travel with my rods often. Traveling with the rods as i do now, (the handle snug between the front seat and the elbow rest) takes up room has caused me to hook myself twice when taking them out. I drive a 2000 4runner. I would love to be able to have holders that store them above heads. Do you have any ideas? Drilling something into the roof or suction cups for the windows? Thanks for your help
