We had our couples club classic this weekend. Saturday was beautiful. Cooler, finally. Sunday turned nasty, rainy....20 MPH winds ( no fun on KY Lake) but we fished hard and managed to pull off the WIN by just over a pound. Here's a couple of the nicer fish from Sat. The one on the left took big fish Greg and I had a blast!!!

What a week it's been! The fishing was some of the toughest I've ever seen but just being a part of the official launch of the LBAA was so rewarding. Can't wait for the tour next year. They sure are set up for tournaments out there. The weigh-in pavilion is awesome! Thanks everyone for your support!!!

Thanks guys! Wish I could have held on to that 3rd but heck, I'd rather have 8th than 18th!!! or worse. Beginning to pick up a few sponsors, which will help with the tour next year. I have to say, these ladies are SO amazing. It's like a bunch of lifelong friends encouraging each other all the way. The next tx is in March on Sam Rayburn....ok folks, never seen it either, I'm gonna need a little help :

Headin out Sunday morning for Russellville AR to fish the LBAA's new pro tour. Never seen the water but am looking forward to it! Prefish till Wed noon then the tx on Thur & Fri. Look out girls....this KY girl is headed your way PS...thanks for your prayers for my Dad. He had a clot in his new stent and is home and doing well.

My Dad had a stent placed in his right coronary artery last week. He had been doing great. Last night he developed sudden severe chest pain with nausea and diaphoresis. After a quick trip to the local ER, he was transferred to St Thomas in Nashville. The plan is to do another arteriogram this afternoon to see if the stent is clotted or just what is going on. Last night in the ER he asked when I was leaving for the LBAA tx in Arkansas and told me not to miss it! Please say a prayer for him....

You should probably ask this on the Rods/Reels/Line board, you'll get more responses. We'll be on Hartwell May 5th & 6th. May 7th will be a benefit tournament (local charity not chosen yet) open to all anglers but a female must be one of the anglers. Come on out and enjoy the fun!

Monday, a friend of mine's life ended. She was 47. Her death was not from illness or accident. Her husband shot and killed her and then took his own life. All of this happened in front of Karen's 24 yr old daughter. Both families attend the same church and this small community is still asking why.......the answers aren't there. My prayers are with both families!

Hi guys....glad to know someone misses us! : I personally do more reading than writing. I've responded to a few posts and well........let's just say some of them haven't been too kind. That plus I've become addicted to facebook so it takes up a lot of free time Hopefully when the LBAA kicks off the tour, more ladies will become more active on here. (that's September, on Dardenelle)
