Bass fishing report in Va.
Just got my 7'4" Heavy/Fast rod last week and used it in the grass with a jig the other day and got a small guy hiding. The water had been hot but we've had some beautiful cool evenings lately. Hoping the water temps stay down.

How many techniques did you start with?
T-rigged Culprit plastic ribbon tail worm in motor oil color, gremlin bullet weight and a red tru-turn hook. I swear, I fished that one setup for years! Now I can't catch anything on them!

What type of rod for Whopper plopper?
I switched over to a 7’3” MH/mod-fast Lew’s TP1 perfect crankback rod from a 7’1” MH/F Cabela’s Tournament ZX and haven’t lost one since.

Hey Y'all!
@Sam Thanks! I'm far enough removed from 95 to not have to deal with that stuff (THANK GOODNESS!), unless I'm driving to Richmond or VA beach. I fish pretty local but am starting to branch out a bit further south to the Fredericksburg area. Honestly, I don't think there are any questions I have that haven't been answered on this forum already, but will definitely ask if I can't find an answer. I just got to my 6 casting rod/reel and 2 spinning rod/reel mark so hopefully I'm done spending money for a while lol. I've seen talk of this "bait monkey" on here and I'm pretty sure I know him/her well LOL!

- Hey Y'all!
Hey Y'all! Just wanted to say thanks to the forum for so much bass fishing goodness! I've been lurkin' about for a few months now and figured I might as well join in. A little bit about myself: I grew up bass fishing the neighborhood lakes in south Florida as a kid. Life happened and I got away from my hobby. I've found my way back, out of the darkness that is addiction/alcoholism, to what makes me at peace. There's something about the stillness of the outdoors, combined with the smell of the water that makes me feel at home. Where all my worries and stresses can find refuge. It's all so nice and calm.... until a bass blows up on your topwater! Then the adrenaline kicks in LOL! I now live in Virginia and have been fishing for the last three years. I will admit though, this "hobby" has become a whole new addiction, but at least it's a healthy one! - Hey Y'all!
