  1. What is a good size rod for neds. I use a 7’ but do I need anything shorter or longer?
  2. I live in Valparaiso Indiana and I am on a mission to catch my first smallmouth and I would like to get some spot suggestions on where to find them.
  3. Thx for this I might exchange the rod for a M/L Thank you for the article but it does not state the power of the rod. Do you know by chance?
  4. I just recently bought the Daiwa Arid X in the 7’ medium power fast action version. This is going to be used for Ned rigs and I wonder if I chose wrong. I looked at the tackle warehouse reviews and they did say these rods generally have a bigger parabolic bend than they suggest. In general is a medium power fast action rod good for neds? Also is a 2000 size spinning reel good for this application or should I of went with the 3000 size reel?
  5. I’m like 11 u dip wit. Pls don’t go around saying that to people it’s just... i don’t even know.
  6. I have this hook keeper that is rusting and I really want to get the rust off. Is there any easy way of doing this?
  7. Is 21 ipt to slow for deep divers? If not can I throw magnum squarebills like the KVD 4.0 and up? All this is being thrown on a 7’6 mh mf rod. If to slow give suggestions for faster reals like that go 23 to 25 ipt. Is it fine to throw magnums on slow reels?
  8. I cast squarebills between 1.5 to 4.0. I need an all around squarebill rod. I want a medium power fast action rod but have no clue what length I should get. Either a 7’0 or 7’4 rod. Should I go shorter or longer for an all around squarebill rod.
  9. Ok I’m in a pickle here with rods. Idk what length I want my squarebill rod to be. I want a rod length between 7’0 to 7’4. In my situation I love throwing the 1.5 KVD squarebill. It doesn’t dive to deep so u don’t need the most distance. I also cast 2.5 KVD squarebills and up which dive deeper so I would have to get it out farther. Idk what length to choose but either way it is going to be a medium fast action. I was leaning towards the G-Loomis IMX Pro Mag Bass Casting Rod, Lew’s Team Pro Ti Speed Stick Casting Rod, and the Dobyns Champion Extreme HP Split Grip Casting Rod.
  10. I can’t find a rod that fits my needs and I would like suggestions. I want to get a 7’3 medium power fast action casting rod. I would like the rod between $100 to $160. Thank you.
  11. It’s drag is only 13 lbs. I like heavier drag when flipping
  12. I own a 7’3 Heavy MF action rod and a 9.3 gear ratio reel with 13 lbs of drag. It has 65 lb braid on. I know this is ideal for frogs, but can it be used for buzzbaits? Also can u use this setup for whopper ploppers? If this setup is not ideal plz give suggestions.
  13. I am deciding on buying the Shimano Curado 200 K in the 6.2:1 gear ratio. I was going to make it my cranking reel but it seems like really it is meant for throwing mono and braid. Can I throw fluoro on it? I just want to make sure before purchasing.
