Can anyone give a real world review on this rod? Looking at the 6'9" for buzz frogs, buzz baits etc. I never think bass pro rods are worth full price but just wanted someone's input

I hope I can ask/state this clearly. I fish ponds exclusively with a soft bottom. My question is I have one pond in particular that has a lot of wood cover but i fish lighter weights. I never go over 3/16 even when I pitch into cover from the bank. Very shallow maybe 3 ft tops. I fish shorter rods than most, I like a 6'10 or shorter. Would you go heavy or m/h with the weight I use. I use 1/8 more than anything. Thoughts? 15 to 17 fluoro.

Looking for a jerkbait that match the hatch for bluegill. Dives to 4ft or so. Can someone help with brand to try?

What is your setup for large worms? What brands do you recommend for 10" and up? Magnum Ol monsters,Netbait,Power worms, and Upton's are my target worms. Are there any others I need to add? Anyone tried (Strike King)Bull worms or Mighty worms yet? I have a 7' MH/F Crucial for now but rather have a shorter one because I bank fish mostly. Spooled up with a 15lbs fluorocarbon.

Man it sure did feel good with catching one on top water. First horny toad fish this year. It wasnt a pig but hey it was a top water bite. Maybe 1lb and a half. Its on now!!

I know a crank bait rod has its main use but what else can a mh/m 3/8- 1-1/2 lure weight be used for if anything? Its a 7' foot crankin stick.

Just a rant post. I try to save a dollar on gear whenever I can but what is Bass Pro trying to do? I mean not a few cents but dollars difference in prices. I use Bass Pro just to put my hands on rods or just to look at an item before I head to online stores these days. Mom and Pop stores are cheaper than BP or Field and Stream. Just looked at my last catalog and a pack of 25 Gammy EWGs cost $18.99!! Wow really. I know its my choice where to purchase but man they are keeping a lot of people away. I see why TW and the like gets the bulk of my business.

What uses would NOT be good choice for this reel? Im thinking about it for my horny toad/buzzbait setup 50lb braid.

Saw my first bed bass today. This warm weather put them a little ahead this year as it seems. Early for northern NC to me.

Yum Mighty worm or Strike King Bull worm is few possible choices as well.

I love the knobs on the 10+3 reels. Will they fit a Shimano handle? Or will the handle itself work on one?

What are the requirements for you to move up or down in power for your rod? Cover over lure weight? Line size? Rod manufacturer that fishes heavy or light gets the call? Im not speaking on using medium to punch with we all know better than that. I find it hard to chose because I fish weights on what some call very light with little or no cover. Most of my added weights on a Texas rig rarely exceeds an 1/8.

Can someone give a brief review of Top Shelf stick baits or their plastics?
