  1. Yuuup. Discovered I can't live without L&L when I went to flouro on one of my rigs. That stuff is hateful when it gets a mind to be. As far as the reel goes, I keep telling myself I'm gonna try something different. One of these days. I may switch it up when I finally break down and get a proper finesse setup. I just have to learn to enjoy watching paint dry first.
  2. Aw man. I shoulda done that. I only use it on one rig, though, so hopefully what I got'll last me for a little while. So stoked about that MB Speed Spool.
  3. Oh, you ain't alone.
  4. Oooh. Those are pretty. The monkey got me again.
  5. Reckon that's a question for the fish. Sometimes bigger and moving more water is just what the doctor ordered.
  6. Never got into bow hunting. I'm barely qualified to say I'm into hunting at all, no more than I've done over the years.
  7. It's a thing. Not my thing, but other people. I'll stick with 7.62mm.
  8. All jokes aside, Florida Man is far more dangerous than any gator or water moccasin. There are lots of places here in Tennessee that probably have good fishing, but it's not worth the risk of dealing with the tweakers for me to go and try it. OP! Forget the knives and just get a spear. https://www.coldsteel.com/products/spears/hunting-spears/boar-spear.html
  9. When in doubt, slow down and slim down.
  10. Yes it is. Honestly, the best thing you can do is just keep an eye out and don't sneak up on one. They don't want any more to do with you than you do with them.
  11. It's not an article, but…honestly, the Tactical Bassin' YouTube channel's a masters-level education on bass fishing.
  12. Beautiful fish! Miss me with that weather, though.
  13. I swear by their EWG trebles.
  14. I dunno anything about fly fishing, but that thing looks real neat.
  15. I don't see why not. You can buy Phenix and FMTC blades from Tackle Warehouse. I believe the various lure building sites have stuff like that available, too. Give it a shot.
  16. Literally just opened my box from 6th sense. I got some stuff off their sale page that looked pretty good for how I like to fish. Quake THUD 70 – Red Proof Quake THUD 70 – Crawfish Clone Cloud 9 MiniMag - Gizzard Shad Cloud 9 C10 - Chrome-Treuse Shad SplashBack 90 - Shad Greens Curve 55 - Ghost Missouri Craw I'm real excited about these THUDs. I love big knockers.
  17. Sorry, folks. Tennessee's full. Bear out front shoulda told ya.
  18. Never used that one, but I'd be interested to hear what you think. That think looks like it'd move a bunch of water.
  19. Some dink action before work. Beautiful pattern on this one. I should add that I caught this on a @Siebert Outdoors dock rocker (off a dock, obvs) with a cut-down Sweet Beaver on the back. Little guy hit it like it called his mama names.
  20. Man, I just love catching fish. I'll take a brown or striped one as soon as I'd take a largie.
  21. It's gonna be part of TW's christmas sale, too. I'm seriously considering picking one up.
  22. And bigger fish. I'm tired of catching dinks.
  23. That Sweet Beaver in Magic Craw Swirl is my confidence trailer. I start with that, and then I adjust, as you and @WRB noted, based on what the fish are telling me they do or don't want. Instead of the Rage Bug, I'll throw on the Rage Craw or a Christie Craw when I want a little bit heavier plastic on the appendage for fewer flappies.
  24. Don't blame you. I think I have like two rods that have a hook keeper that I like the way it's set up. It's just not something that enters into my thinking when I'm shopping for rods now because I've done it this way for so long.
