  1. Superglue where the wire meets
  2. I leave the head on them. And i have only used the smaller one. its 4" river2sea makes awesome baits.
  3. I use a swivel with the all plopperss but the 90 size. The swivel made the 90 go nose down and it was tough to get that good plopping noise if you know what I mean. Maybe I'll try a smaller swivel and split ring this year..
  4. Minnkota 40lb thrust
  5. River2sea d-walker is a perfect swim jig trailer. And will last a while, hang them up when u can as to not bend the tail. Great for slow rolling Skinny dippers almost the same Keitechs are always good!
  6. That's a jerkbait. it kind of looks like a yo-zuri to me, but I'm not sure of the brand. But you are fishing it correctly, although most people fish it with only twitches and pauses but it can be slow retrieved with the few twitches as well. Gotta be top 5 baits of all time
  7. Dobyns fury $120 abu garcia pro max $80. Still my favorite rod and reel to use is my lightning rod $30 and my Shimano Sienna fg $25..
  8. I fish a lot of pressured ponds also bitsy bugs are good and you can get away with your spinning rod. And if you wanna use your heavy rod and braid id probably go with the bitsy flip. It has a heavier hook and comes in heavier weights, don't remember but they may have a stiffer weed guard Honestly for the pressued ponds I seem to do better with a shakey head. Or more likely a Texas rig soft bait. don't want to turn you away from jig fishing but these are almost the same, fun is feeling the bite and setting the hook
  9. Ive done best in creeks with small jerkbaits and a ned rig. Good luck
  10. I agree. ^ Does everyone have this same confusion will all reels or just this diawa? I thought it always went under
  11. 30lb Braid on a med heavy spinning.. The way you hold the rod just makes it more fun of a hookset to me. Holding the rod firmly instead of the reel. I do have the dobyns 734c mentioned above but def not as accurate as a full size frog. Them booyahs are the way to go tho.
  12. Should be fine if you texpose* the hook instead of bury it in the plastic. But I would recommend braid than you will have no problem at all and will work better for jigs. And the braid should last you all year or even 2yrs. 15 lb Power Pro is what I would recommend and then using a uni to Uni knot with a 8 or 10 lb mono leader. And the 2pc medium will set the hook good either way you go. The medium heavy is too stiff and it will not load up when you cast, not great for light lures or lighter Lb mono
  13. Those rods are very good. I have used all 3 but got rid of the medium heavy. Too stiff for me. The 7ft 2piece is still my favorite rod I've used. The 2 piece has slightly more backbone than a 1piece and a little more tip than the 6'6. The 7ft 2pc will be perfect for everything you listed. And you can pack it easily for vacations
  14. Throw a frog
  15. I have used a med/heavy spinning rod for small frogs. With braid. You can cast awesome and way more accurate Kind of hard to find them with a soft enough tip. The new st. Croix bassX rods seem to be good just holding them in bass pro. 7'1 med/hvy..& I believe around $100 I have used the bass pro tourney special 7' for a long time. having felt many medium heavy spinning rod this one felt the best to me. It's $50 i think on sale right now for 30
  16. I really like the dobyns fury rods, I was a sceptic at first but the actions are really good. More moderate with a soft tip, but as people say they do seem to be a power less id say more like 1/2 power less For spinnerbaits and buzzbaits I would use a 704c 7ft heavy, with mono Or a 703c. 7ft med/heavy with braid Hope this helps
  17. 3.8 Keitech fat swing impact Texas rigged on a screw lock swimbait hook and the option of nail weights in the belly holes. Keitech also has a 2.8" and 3.3" if you want to go even smaller
  18. I really like the swaver 168. Fairly inexpensive also. if your looking for some cheaper swimbaits I would try the storm kickin minnow it has an awesome action.
  19. That's it! Thank you
  20. Looking to get an extra popper that has been awesome to me, deep noise from the pop and seems to get bit. It has "cordell" on the bottom but when I research all i find is cotton cordell pencil poppers. This is something like a normal popper. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?? Mostly where to find one?
