Next Shimano
I’ll add another vote for the metanium. I have 2 of them and they are awesome. I’ve heard great things about the chronarch but to me for the price I’d rather have a DC or step up to a bantam or metanium.

Avid x vs expride
I might be biased but I think the expride line is the best rods for the money period. I have several of them.

Do you throw a chatter bait on the same rod as a spinner bait?
I used to throw them on the same rod, I now have a chatterbait rod because i throw it so much. They r not the same. The reason the glass rod is more ideal is because the connection point is on the blade that moves when the fish thrashes. The glass rod absorbs more of this helping keep them pinned, in addition the slower action of the glass rod helps keeps the hook back in there mouths further. The hook up has a great video explaining all this. Is the difference that big. Probly not, I caught plenty of fish using a standard m/h fast.

Poison Adrena 7.2 H for jigs?
It’s my jig rod and it’s excellent. It’s also good for Texas rigs.

Opinions on Chatterbait Setup
No idea what your budget is but evergreen makes a combat stick for chatterbaits. It’s a 7’3” heavy glass. If you don’t want glass the shimano expride 7’2” mh glass in another good option. The hookup tackle has a fairly recent video dedicated to chatterbait rods.

10xd rod
I don’t think the expride is what your looking for. I have that rod, it’s their punching rod and it’s a pool cue. Much stiffer than the 806.
-
10xd rod
I’d try the daiwa. The slower action being the reason. I run a dobyns 806, it’s supposed to be their 10xd rod. I don’t have a lot of experience with it just yet but it is a lot of rod.

One Shimano baitcaster you have to have...and why?
I have the 2020 met, it’s a fantastic reel. Very smooth and incredibly light. The reel I have my eye on right now is the met dc. Reason being I like throwing chatterbaits on dc and I’m looking to upgrade from my curado.

Best line for Ned Rigs
20lb smack down hi vis with a 7lb sunline leader. I’ll bump up my leader size if I’m fishing around a lot of cover.
- Best line for spinnerbaits and chatterbaits?

Build me a jig/tx rig
This, but bump up to the new zillion or a new metanium. Still well within your price range.

Need help with Megabass rods. Please!
I’d call the hook up they can explain the actual differences. Just guessing based on specs, but the actions on the similar spec rod are probably slightly different making one more ideal for specific techniques than the other. Length will play a roll in how a rod behaves. Some could be different bend profiles even though they are both m/h reg or whatever. Im sure one of the guys there would be happy to break it all down and get you pointed in the right direction.

Jerkbait Rod
Are u only wanting a spinning rod? If not I recommend the shimano expride 6’10 m or the megabass jerkbait special.

New Metanium DC??
Ok so assuming it’s staying for this yr at least do u guys like the metanium dc 2x as much as the curado dc? My thought is on my chatterbait setup it will lighter and a little nicer for chucking and winding all day.
-
New Metanium DC??
Don’t get too excited, just asking the question. Is there a new one coming soon. Seems as though there should be one on the horizon based on the 2020 non dc model. Anyone have any info or thoughts?

Shimano power handle
Does anyone know for sure if the power handle from a tranx will work on the new curado 300. I assume it will just trying to make sure.
-
Megabass Destroyer Discontinued?
The hook up tackle said in one of their video that the P5 is the new spec going forward. Didn’t say if there will be additional rods added to the line for US market.

Picking up a new football jig rod budget $350
I have the 744, I use it for this exact application. It’s awesome. The 7’6” heavy expride or the poison adrena (not sure on the length, I have the 7’3” H but there is a longer one) would also be great option in your price range.

Vanford vs FL
Get the vanford, it’s a great reel, light and silky smooth. The fl is gonna be noticeably heavier, and from what I understand the vanford has more trickle down features. $30 is a justified upgrade price IMO

Dobyns Rod Power Confusion?
I have the 744 as a jig rod. It’s awesome for that. For what u want I think I would go 743

Stradic FL or Ci4+
The ci4 has the carbon body.

Shimano Expride 7'6 Heavy Reel Pairing
Hg model. 7.4:1 I believe is what it is.

Beginner baitcaster
I have a couple Curado dc and they r fantastic. That said for a beginner I don’t think you could beat the Slx dc. I hate to admit this but I found a lightly used one and bought it for my 6yo son. He still gets backlashes but not very often. And I don’t even have his dc turned all the way up. I think I paid like $140 for the reel. As for line I agree with most above, start with mono. I blew up a brand new spool of abraz-x a few months ago and I was not too happy. And I’ve been using a bait caster for 25yrs.

Expride for drop shot
I throw weightless senkos on the M. IMO its a little to heavy for drop shotting. No experience with the med/lt. currently I’m using a Dobyns champion extreme 702 for drop shot. It a really nice rod for a relatively reasonable price. I’m sure not as good as the Loomis but a lot more affordable. Might be worth checking out.

Shimano Bantam MGL
Bantam is my favorite reel I own. For reference I have the new metanium, Curado k, Curado dc, slx dc. Imo the bantam is the best. A little heavier than the met, but to me the added weight gives it a solid feel. Casts a mile as well
