  1. It must be awfully hot to hunt or fish in a bikini 8)
  2. This isn't scientific, but I think barometric pressure does have something to do with catching fish. I grew up in England andwas fortunate enough to fish for Atlantic salmon 2- 3 times a year. At times when the pressure was changing rapidly, it just "felt" like a good time to fish. More often than not a Salmon or Sea Trout would be caught. ;D
  3. I eat trout, salmon, eels, walleye, crappie and catfish as far as freshwater fish go. Best fish I have ever had was walleye from a Canadian lake, so fresh it was wriggling in the skillet.(Fly in camps are hard to beat) All this talk of poop eating fish made me wonder- who here eats lobster? What do they eat again?? ;D
  4. I'm going to give drop shotting a try I think. And I'm going to buy some poppers for my fly rod and try them for giggles 8)
  5. I started taking my 4 year year old son Jack fishing last spring. He is a hyperactive little guy but he is very grounded while he watches a bobber. I took him ice fishing a couple of times this winter and he loved it. I am waiting for some warmer weather here in Iowa before I take him this spring. I never try and fish when he is with me. It's all about him - great Father - Son time.
  6. I caught a bat once spin fishing for sea trout. I also caught a bluegill on a #5 Mepps.
  7. I grew up fishing in England where every righty reels lefty. I was bemused when I saw people casting and then switching hands to reel in. Crazy Yanks!
