  1. I have a rod (Daiwa Tatula Bass 6'10 MHF) with a broken guide that I decided to fix myself rather than have someone fix it. Mainly just to do it myself and learn how to do it in the future. I have a couple of questions if some of you guys can point me in the right direction. 1. What type of thread do you guys use for this? 2. How do I find out the size guide I need? Searched around on the Daiwa website and google and didn't see anything.
  2. This. I have some Owner and Gama for open hooks. I like the Owner better as I lose more fish on the Gama. I recently bought some Fusion weedless wacky jig heads when I want a bit of weight but don't want to Neko rig or want a little more weedless. I like them a lot also. All in 1/0 and I always use an o-ring.
  3. Well, since we’re going the logical route, it’s logical to realize that a message board is for discussing topics. And I don’t remember seeing anyone saying they are required to buy from tackle warehouse. In fact, most of the posts are stating their money is going elsewhere due to the issues tackle warehouse is having.
  4. That’s kind of the point with TW right now. It’s not inventory, it’s the taking weeks to ship an order that other suppliers don’t. I think most people understand the challenges of getting inventory right now. But you don’t have to plan ahead with other places.
  5. Here’s what I do, probably a little different than others. If the lake I’m fishing has a rocky or harder bottom, I carry some football jigs. I always have flipping jigs (Siebert tungsten, Jigmaster) for fishing around wood, skipping, and general fishing. These are my go to. I also carry some brush jigs (Siebert) for use around wood. I always have some swim jigs (Siebert, 6th Sense) for swimming and grass. Last, I have some finesse flipping jigs (Siebert, Bass Pro tungsten) when I want to downsize. That’s all I use.
  6. Just bought some of the 6th Sense flipping hooks and plan to try them punching. Won’t use them for probably about a month but they look like they’ll be good.
  7. I was lucky and it wasn't damaged. Otherwise TW would be receiving a call right now.
  8. They might be rushing their packaging also. My order had a bottle of JJs magic rolling around out of the package. Large box with a life jacket in it and a few other small items. No filler paper or any measures to keep the items from rolling around.
  9. I'm in Illinois and I have been charged sales tax on every online order I've made in a while save one. I just received a Tackle Warehouse order today and was charged sales tax. There definitely isn't a Tackle Warehouse in Illinois. edit: just noticed this is an old post and things have likely changed since then.
  10. They had a pretend one a couple of weeks ago. If the sale when they actually have it is anything like the one they almost had, it will be pretty weak. Not a whole lot was on sale. What was on sale was specific items.
  11. Probably because half the time someone starts a new thread, someone in there links 3 other threads from 8 years ago in it.
  12. Yeah, that’s the only one I’ve used so far. I bought the combo pack and used the crawdad on a jig trailer. It caught the only bass I caught on a tough day. Not saying that was the only reason, but so far so good. They are pretty strong smelling. But I can’t compare to the others yet.
  13. I don't know the answer, but I'm on my way to finding out. I bought some Bang, Megastrike, and some Fish Sticks and will see which type I like best.
  14. Has anyone had a pair of Costas and a pair of Maui Jim? Curious to hear a first hand comparison if anyone has.
  15. We have two of these and they are great. Pretty stable, easy to mod. It’s a great entry level kayak.
  16. Reaction Innovations Beaver - my best flipper UV Speed Craw - my best jig trailer Missile Bomb Shot - my best drop shot Max scent is great also.
  17. I’d rather spend $30 extra and get something tangible out of it than spend $6 just to get what I bought to my house.
  18. Have you fished these weightless or wacky yet? Just curious how fast they fall. Are they faster, closer to a Yamamoto Senko, or slower like a Yum Dinger?
  19. 1. 3/8 Siebert tungsten pitching jig with UV Speed Craw trailer 2. Dropshot - usually a Missile Bombshot 3. Frog in summer 4. Squarebill - 6th Sense Crush 50x for rattling or LC 1.5 for silent 5. Stickbait - wacky rig or weightless t-rig Im going to work hard to get jerkbaits in this list in the spring.
  20. I'm not looking to bass fish around Sacramento. I just want a little public pond or smaller lake or something we can take a small child out for a couple of hours to throw out a bobber for some bluegill. One of the days of my trip, my son and I will head to Clear Lake and go out with a guide for the day. That will be our bass fishing.
  21. I saw the river, but wasn't sure if it would be ok fishing or not. I know nothing about where to fish and the family we will be visiting do not fish. They would have no clue either.
  22. Silent squarebill box, rattling squarebill box, 4-8' box, 9-12' box, 13-15' box and 17'+ box. Makes it much easier.
  23. I have family we will be visiting in Sacrament this summer. I would like to take a little one somewhere we can throw a Barbie rod and worm and catch some bluegill. Are there any good places we could go to catch a bunch of panfish? Also, I will likely be taking one day to get a guide on Clear Lake. Who are some good bass guides I can look in to?
