Can anyone offer any advice as to where I can purchase a pro 120 from ? Not sure who has the best price? Also has anyone loaded one in the back of a pickup instead of a trailer ?

Falcon is pretty much depleted of most of their stock. I spoke to them yesterday and they are saying the new Cara will be out in December. Price point will be 249.99 It will be based on the same T7 format with all the same models and actions. They do consider it an upgrade over the Experts ... however they confirmed that the Expert will still be the lighter rod and should be a bit more sensitive in certain applications. The bottom line is all the Falcon pro’s still use all 3 lines Low Rider .. Expert and Cara. Hallman in fact still uses the Low Rider rods more than all of them. Considering that he has them all and is sponsored that speaks volumes in terms of the overall value of that Low Rider.

Notice .... there is still no Cara.

I’m more of a Gateman guy .... But a huge Sox fan and I have fished the cape for 40 years

LOL .... that’s great but the Chrorach MGL is more money than the Curado DC I was thinking that the Curado DC would be a great reel for spinnerbaits? The only time I get backlash is with spinnerbaits ... go figure because I fish them allot. Thats why I was thinking the DC reel. I also hear that the Chronarch MGL is the best Shimano for lighter lures and it prevents backlash the best ?

Is there much of a difference between the Diawa Elite Tatula and The Tatula SV ? Especially in the new 2020 versions? Also do you think the DC or Tatula is better against backlash? Appreciate it. Ive always been a Shimano guy and I was looking for an outside opinion. Is Shimano guys have a tendency to be hypnotized by Shimano... lol

Believe me ... I was a bitter buy USA guy too. I broke a Cara last year and Falcon offered to ship me an Expert for free. They said .. try it and if you don’t like it we will reimburse you for your broken Cara. 6 Experts later and a whole bunch of fishing ... I’m an Expert believer. Most of these rods have components from overseas so at the end of the day it’s all relative. Hallman and Christie are the 2 big Falcon pros now . They fish Experts

Ok that’s a good start ... Elite better distance DC better control So Elite would be a better crankbait reel ? DC would be a better pitching reel ?

Ok gents ... Looking for your opinions? Other than the obvious weight advantage from the Tatula ... what else ? Like to hear from guys who have fished both. Tight Lines !

Spoke to Brad Hallman ... He still likes the Experts better. The blanks are all made in the same place No offense... The Experts are lighter and more sensitive than the Cara’s. More importantly the Experts are the best balanced rod that Falcon has ever made.

Yes ... I’m hearing great things about the E6X and the IMX Pro if I can find a deal.

I actually found some Ex6 for $175 . Im thinking of pulling the trigger . The handles do look comfortable. I did check out the Falcon spinning because I absolutely love the Expert casting rods for the money. However the Falcon spinning has the handle set upfront with the tightening knob on the back. It seems very awkward ... The handles look just like The Megabass and I didn’t like them. Call me crazy but the good old fashioned full cork handles are though to beat.

What do you recommend just over 200 ? Im hearing good things about the Loomis E6X rods ? I use an IMX pro and I’m wondering how the E6X would compare to the IMX Pro?

Hello all I’m looking for a few nice spinning rods to keep on the boat for my son and my brother. Not looking to break the bank but I want good quality and sensitivity. Something under $200 and something under $150 I heard Fenwick makes a good rod. Any suggestions ? Possibly even a good used one in great shape ? Any help would be great Thank you

Not interested in turning fishing into politics! Don’t we have enough of that BS in our country????! MY POINT is ..... Obviously in these hard hit economic times .... Most people don’t have $300 to $500 to spend on a rod. The Falcon Expert rod kicks the crap out of anything else in the $180-&225 price range . Now go back to watching all the crap on TV and spend money that you probably shouldn’t spend on $500 rods !

Contaminated??? Seriously dude get a grip.... I’m talking quality of rods. And believe me ... Loomis definitely rolls out their share of crappy rods ! I spent over $5000 on Loomis rods over the years. With technology now ... It’s a waste of $$$.

It’s allot lighter than the Cara....and it Loads differently. Its a better feel rod in my opinion. so the Icast has been cancelled but yes Falcon is bringing back the Cara rod. They has planned on rolling it out at Icast. I spoke to B Hallman and behind the scenes him and Christie have been playing with them. He said that for him the Expert Amistad is his go to regardless of it all. Like I said ... I’ve been throwing them for over 25 years. I’m very familiar with the different rods and changes.

LOL ... trust me nobody knows better than me I own all 3. The Expert definitely fished better than the GLX . The NRX is obviously close...
