LOL ! Yes your exactly right ! news flash boys ... EVERY rod has parts on it that are from overseas ! All of them ... so don’t fool yourself into this only buy American thing with rods. I don’t care what any of the Companies supposedly claim ... ITs complete BS! They all have components on them from overseas . Bottom line about the new Falcon Expert is they fish like a $500 Loomis for less than half the price and that’s a fact.

I have been throwing Falcon’s for over 20 years I own 7 of the Falcon Cara Rods made in the USA and 6 of the Experts made overseas. I hate to rain on a parade ... The New Experts made overseas completely blow the doors off of the Cara’s and it’s not close. The Experts are lighter more sensitive and fish allot more comfortable. In fact the Experts are very similar to my Loomis rods for half the price . Bottom line is Falcon is a USA company and I will continue to support them.

Was looking into adding some swim Jigs into the mix this year .. The Z man snake eyes look to work well through weeds.. Bass Pro gets 5.99 for them.. Discount tackle is out of all the good colors Anyone have advice on brand ? And any deals out there ? Im open to using the smaller independent lure making companies if they fish well ... Thanks

All these issues .... There are 3 and what we don’t know is what the hell these guys are throwing on these reels... I sure as hell am not going to throw 2 to 3 ounce baits on a Chronarch That’s what the Bantam is for ... And Again.... I will stress with confidence. You cannot replace all the Chronarch gears with Curado K gears. They don’t even fit in the reel...

I’ve had had extensive conversations with several guys that work on these reels day in and day out. There is a reason why Shimano uses the same brass gears in all 3 of the new higher end reels. Because they are stronger .. last longer and are lighter. Mentanium MGL 2020 Bantam MGL Chronarch MGL They all use the same brass gears. Im not at all saying the Curado K is a bad reel.... Its $179 reel... Great for the $ However .... It’s not in the same conversation as these 3 higher end reels. Most importantly I was calling him out for making a statement that they sell a kit with Curado gears to replace Chronarch MGL gears. That is completely wrong !

Ok I watched it ... thank you... This is an older model Metanium with aluminum gears. Definitely not the new Chronarch brass Gears...that we are discussing. In fact the new 2020 Metanium now has the same brass gears as the Chronarch and the new Bantam. ianass8 is saying the gears in the Curado are superior to the new Brass gears in the Chronarch And he could not be more wrong And No they do not make a kit with Curado gears to replace the Chronarchs What would be the point ... ? Thats like dropping a straight 6 into a Corvette. The Chronarch , New Bantam and New Metanium all have the same new brass gears. They are FAR superior to gears in a Curado.

I don’t need to read anything... I just spoke with Brian at tackle trap. He forgot more about these reels than you know .... He works on them everyday ! Ill put $10,000 up as a bet here.... The Curado K gears will NOT fit the Chronarch !!! In fact the same gears in the Chronarch are excellent! And furthermore the same gears are in The new Bantam and the new Metanium ! Your statement about Curado K gears replacing Chronarch gears are false They would not even fit on a Chronarch And yes the Chronarch gears are the upgrade to the older Metanium gears... That’s the facts ... period. Curado K gears are not even close to the high quality brass gears in the Chronarch , Bantam or new 2020 Metanium.

Again ... shared with Shimano rep What he’s saying false... Sure there are kits .. For the older model Metanium! This has nothing to do with the Chronarch. The Chronarch has brass gears. In fact the same gears that he’s referring to with problems are isolated to the older model Metanium. What he also does not know is that the same gears in the Chronarch are the gears that are in the 2020 New Metanium MGL. The Curado K gears are definitely NOT an upgrade over the Chronarch Need to get your facts straight....

The Metanium comparison to the Chronarch I totally get. Yes super nice and smooth ... 2 new 2020’s on the way. They are insane ... However a Curado K to a Chroanarch That’s a Camry to a Cadillac comparison.

Bought from Japan Like I said ... call me crazy but I just got in a Japanese shipped Chronarch and it’s smoother and faster than all USA models that I have.

I’m not doubting you but there is definitely a noticeable difference... I have 4 USA models and although they are fantastic reel .. The Japan model is smoother . Could it be that it was tuned ? If so ... how much of an affect would getting the others tuned and upgraded bearings have on them ?

I can’t get over how much smoother the Japanese reel is ... I just ordered 2 new 2020 Metanium MGL’s I wonder if I’m better of just buying a few more Japanese Chronarch’s ...? LOL

The Chronarch was $100 less from Japan Go figure its a higher quality reel than the USA model ... crazy !

Ok .. I just got my new Chronarch in from Japan today . WOW ! I’m blown away ... Its perfect new in the box as advertised. *More importantly it seems to have better gears or something ??? What the heck It actually seems like a higher quality than my others bought new in USA ... Does anyone know if this is the case ?

I am close to pulling the trigger on a 2016 Triton 189 TRX powered by a 150 Evinrude The boat is super clean like new 27,000 Is the price and it seems worth it ? 25 to 28k is my price range and I am financing 70% of it ... Does anyone have any thoughts on it ? Is Triton a better boat than Nitro ? Id love a Ranger but it’s just out of my price range... lol Does anyone own a Triton 189 TRX and have thoughts ?

Ok ... that’s good to know. thank you is the gear set in the older Metanium not quite as strong as the Chronarchs ? I do notice that the frame really chips allot on the Metanium If the gears are allot stronger in the Chronarch than its a real no-brainer
