  1. Sam, I get away with the hose end pressure tool from Home Depot for months at a time. The drain was slow for a few weeks before it said 'no more sucker'.
  2. You are not alone. I have back to back bathrooms. I finally went to home depot and bought the Ridgid snake set up. Pulled a giant rat ball of hair out, 10 feet from the p-trap. $41 for the tool & hours of free labor.
  3. I still have a bunch of pork. I switched to saltwater fishing for years. Now I'm craving fooling some bass with all my old tools.
  4. I just picked up a pair of the Walmart Wranglers. Comfy as heck.
  5. I usually remove them and put them into my boxes pretty soon after purchase. I stock up on things that work and still have pork trailers, jigs, spinnerbaits and plastics in bulk of my favorites. (Pearl twin tails, chartreuse/copper flake grubs, etc.). I just need to retire and put them to work.
  6. Well now I have to ask about your feeling about the stability. Fine?
  7. Don't ya just love the delta.
  8. I just picked up a 1997. It has an open floor between the seats and removable battery box and baitwell. I am working on the trailer refinish / repaint and some boat wiring at the same time. I will be putting a deck on front only as I typically boat solo. Planning a 55lb MinnKOta front and a small outboard in back. The low seat will be fine in back. What ply thickness did you go with? Did you use a cardboard template? That's some good form fitting cuts. Where do I buy that casting seat? Thanks for posting, I felt like the Lone Ranger with this boat.
  9. I've been a Whaler guy for about 15 years. First a small Outrage, then I bought an antique Whaler last year. Feeling safe on the water is nice, knowing I'm going to at least have a hull to hang on to. But being a bit frugal, I never would buy a new Whaler. Let someone else eat the depreciation.
  10. This is good to know. I bought one for my Pontoon float tube but haven't used it yet. I never go near the water without one type or another. I'm old and don't do well in cold water.
  11. My arsenal is out of control. I typically want two of every type set up. Bassing, trouting, panfishing, trolling.... Then I was introduced to salt water. Hooeee! A 6lb rockfish will kick a 6lb Largemouth's keester. Way stronger. A bunch of fun and easier to find. But since joining up here I've got the freshwater fever again. I have two boats and two float boats ready, lol.
  12. Thanks again. But I do need to amend my statement that I purchased a 'raider'. I in fact purchased a Pelican Predator. I do have a BassHunter 10 and a BassHunter 6' too.
  13. Nice smallies. I have never seen one that big where I fish.
  14. Real friends seem to be rarer as I get older. Two fishing buds moved out of state, and my best bud / striper mentor died quickly after the big C diagnosis. I loved that guy and still miss him years later. Relationships are why we go on. I fish by myself mostly now. But will take the wife on freshwater sometimes.
  15. After working for 48 years I deserve to go fishing. But our government agencies are delaying my retirement with stupid delays / screw ups. Anyway, I love fishing but still won't be going everyday. Gotta keep Momma happy too.
  16. Newby to your site, but not to reel work. I work on all my own but still run in to one that just won't work right sometimes. I have a bunch of the old Bantam Mags. 15x, 250's, and 350's. All smooth except one 15x. I still have it in a baggie until I have the patience to look at it again. Just love these old classics.
  17. Thanks for the welcome everyone. I spent the better part of the morning on the Bass Raider thread, then found one and bought it! J dot Bricker YO!
  18. Just joined! Had to get my son to figure out the security combo steps, lol. So welcome me, the dimmest light shining from the delta!
