  1. I use owner ewg most of the time I have never used the twist lock versions but I’m sure they will work well. Senkos and super flukes I use 4/0 I mainly use 3/0 and 4/0 for most soft plastics, I also use 2/0 for smaller grub style baits just get a pack of each size and match your hook to the plastic.

The prices are hiked up but I think it’s because you can just walk in an grab what you want when your in a hurry this is of course pre pandemic now it’s more curbside pick up stuff which would probably make online a better deal. I’ve noticed they have been promoting a ton of googan baits on their catalogue as far as their spinnerbaits, jigs, frogs, plastics.

Dicks has had these type of sales I don’t think this has anything to do with them scaling back on their fishing department. However they might very well be scaling back their fishing department. I get their monthly catalog and I see a ton of fishing gear so I have not seen any evidence of that happening, not saying it’s not happening it would not surprise me if they are.
  4. Spider jigs yup that’s it.
  5. EXACTLY!
  6. Fat boy has a different line tie, most likely some type of knock off. Like you mentioned.
  7. Haven’t had a chance to throw them but they are supposed to be a good copy of the old zoom wec. They look really nice out of the box. I was to lazy to take them out the box and lay them out. Now that’s lazy. Also a couple of the cbs whith the circuit board lips. These baits look b e u i te Full !
  8. Use chicken feathers... Zell Roland uses chicken feathers on his top water trebles and he knows !
  9. I been using this one keeps me from getting sun burn.
  10. I think your choices are solid. Don’t look back.
  11. I’ve actually never had a plastic and or carbon fiber reel fail on me because it’s made of plastic actually I’ve had some pretty good experience with them some of the best spinning reels I’ve had were made of plastic.
  12. That’s cool man that’s awesome never seen that before.
  13. In other words it’s a confidence thing for you. You have confidence in certain colors you stick with them you don’t have confidence in black and blue so you wrote them off and that’s not a bad thing. If the black and blue just don’t work for you in that specific body of water don’t throw it. Bass fishing is all about confidence so throw what your confident in.
  14. Squarebill, mid diving crankbait, soft plastics, popr, frog, spinnerbait, jig&trailer, buzzbait, wakebait...

Spike it works with TRDs no problem that I’ve noticed, but I’ve heard Jjs will melt it also.

I like scent it works in my mind. I get more bites on scented baits then not. But it could all be in my mind. ??‍♂️ Helps me with confidence and that’s all that matters if you don’t have confidence when you fish you probably won’t catch many fish.
  17. The options are endless.
  18. Many make impulsive purchases especially when it comes to tackle. Soon enuf you have stuff you like and you have stuff you don’t, eventually you start selling it. It’s hard to pass up a good deal even if your not really needing the tackle at the time.
  19. Yeah it’s weird black and blue you think? Nothing is black and blue that swims really so why does it work ? I had those thoughts the first time I tied a black and blue jig with a bright blue trailer on. I can still remember how exited I was when I got that first bite on it. Stained water is definitely key, not super stained but I wouldn’t fish it in clear water. I have to conclude saying that it just works.
