  1. If you are able to throw in a little more of your own cash I would consider the Curado k if not I would also recommend the advise given by Delaware Valley Tackle.
  2. Go with the lews bb1 pro speed spool.
  3. This was a cool little reel I had one as well.
  4. Depending on where you live a lot of the fish you seen could have been fry guarders and may have left by now if you only see one bass on the bed it may just be the male. I personally would not focus on the bedded bass anymore and would move on to catch those post spawners, I suggest you try a jerk bait and focus on the bass that are moving out from the bank. If this is the case a jerk bait will be your best bet.
  5. Both reels are from the Doyo Corp so what? They are good solid reels and I would go with the Abu Garcia if that’s what you like, you won’t be disappointed.
  6. I’m not really sure because I don’t upsize my hooks but I would imagine on a kvd 1.5 it would effect it minimaly however I like to have a fast Buoyancy on my crankbait baits because I believe that helps in the hunting action when you bump into rocks or wood or structure I want that fast rise on the deflection of the bait and that deflection and the fast rise is what creates that hunting action imo.
  7. I don’t think your tournament pro LFS should be making noise I’m sure you have experience with centrifugal brakes and the basic oil maintenance since you have shimanos. I would send it back and get a replacement just in case, if your still in the realm of a return/exchange?
  8. Classic Classic Classic
  9. Temple Fork Outfitters make some great rods you won’t be disappointed....
  10. Yup this is what I’ve heard I think on BTL panrac mentioned that.
  11. If Cliff Pace called me they definitely would regain me as a customer without a doubt! I probably would have apologized to him I’m a big fan. Great to hear I’ve had the wreck in my cart for a while now.
  12. No doubt man Abu Garcia gets a bad rap and they make some great products. Think about how many ppl still use the very low end black max that cheepo reel cast good for a cheepo. I also like the rods.
  13. I can’t believe you threw them away just because of the chipped paint some ppl like them like that you can also repaint them.
  14. I love the Aruko shad however the red eye shad has the wobble on the fall and for that reason I can’t rule them out of my tool box. Speaking of the Aruko shad I need to restock I only have two left?
  15. Original rebel pop r
  16. Short shank ewg trebles get hung up less than regular treble hooks they also pin the fish pretty good and yes you can upsize the hook but that affects the Buoyancy of your crankbait. I don’t personally use them unless the bait comes stock with them, I like the owner st36 stingers and that’s what I feel sticks them the best.
  17. I disagree
  18. Flambeau Ike 140 -IQ great little terminal tackle box.
  19. Look up on the way Bill Lowen rigs a tube it is the best way to rig a tube on a t rigg bait.
  20. Ugly stick striper rod should do the trick inexpensive and does the job. You don’t really need a really expensive sensitive rod for stripers and the ugly stick striper rod is nice and does it!!!
  21. Well i guess I’ll be ordering a bunch of the VMC neko hooks and trying them out I think this is going to be my next try in my search for the absolute best wacky rigging hook
  22. You’ve definitely got a nice crankbait collection. One thing that bothers me is all the hook rash your getting on those beautiful baits I recommend rubber bands or hook bonnets to minimize that. I personally keep all my crankbaits in there own slots with rubber bands to reduce hook rash as for rusting I use the bullfrog strips in my boxes keeps the rust out.
