  1. Im from Pembroke Pines too and non boater as well, dont know any Bass Clubs around but good to have another neighbor here, maybe we can share some good spots around
  2. the original post i put circle hook by mistake my bad, what is worse is that those ponds have good amount of bass
  3. actually im using EWG worm hooks 3/0 not circle - my bad is the basic hook to catch bass, not sure if i use a offset helps with that for some reason the hook always go on their side of the mouth and the tip hits the eye from inside
  4. Slow retrieve the worm or creature
  5. just the worm but most of the time catfish bites the bait the hook gets on the side of the mouth and hit the eyes taking his eyes off .... makes me feel awful Got them in 2 different ponds here in Florida one close to where i live that i always go and one in a park, and they bite any worm or sometimes creature bait that i put when looking for bass
  6. Don't know about you guys but i just don't like to catch catfish by mistake when I'm after Bass, most of the time a catfish catches the worm the EWG worm hook 3/0 take their eyes off and I feel extremely bad about that, i know that there is people that love to catch catfish but is not for me, don't like the fight and the feeling they give on the rod and those accidents make them more a nuisance to me than anything else.
  7. Not just baits i can't find worm weights anywhere, looks like everybody decided to fish and also there is logistic issue its insane don't remember anything like that before
  8. Yes it was me, but im referring specific to the park area now not exactly everglades apologize for the confusion about the topics
  9. Bank fishing on Everglades Holiday park is a good idea? even with the airboats coming and go all the time there? there is any specific place around there that is good to do some bank fishing?
  10. Exactly, there is high quality posts and answers here that i can't see anywhere else
  11. Amazing explanation as always thank for that, let me ask you as an expert on those retention ponds, the bass usually concentrate more on the shoreline? so the casts at the middle of the pond are no that useful correct?
  12. I can’t thank you enough for this, i also saved on my notes to keep this post with me always, thank you much and you are right it was my mistake its a pond that is connected to a larger one I will pay more attention to the pipes now and the waterflow This makes totally sense now, i can imagine that Bass dont like to get exposed to the sun too much on hot days..l i will also try on different hours like around 7:30pm or morning like 6:30am around that
  13. Exactly like that is was like a switch turned them off, really strange behavior specially that Saturday they were very active And yes bank fish and today i tried my best to put the bait right on the middle of the lake where is deeper but no success, what is strange is that i saw a lot of movement on the water and those small fish running around on the shoreline but no bass And im in South Florida - Pembroke Pines
  14. already hot as hell here in Florida and had a good Saturday on a local lake around here, them Sunday and today (Monday) the bites suddenly stoped, I usually go fish around 6:30 pm on a local lake on my community one or another bite and that was it, tried different types of worm and colors and nothing why this is happening? when is hot like that is bad for bass fishing? Im trying to understand better bass behavior, what are the good and bad months for Bass Fishing?
  15. Thank you guys amazing tips, I will try my luck on alligator alley and see what happens there, appreciate all the tips here
  16. I live so close to Everglades but i feel bad to not know any good spots there to bank fishing, i usually go to community lakes and parks but i wanted to explore Everglades area more Anybody know good spots there? how about the Holiday Park bank fishing is possible there? Another place that im looking for is Big Cypress Preserve went there with my car on an afternoon and saw some people dishing there from the small bridges on the road
  17. Its good it is the camera angle, Feel better no really liked that rod and is not that expensive
  18. Just got this rod, my first casting rod and i really like the rod lightweight looks and feels very solid, and not that expensive, and noticed right out of the package something that looks like an adhesive or glue around the middle body of the first guide (tip) as shown on the pictures below, this is normal os this rod or is any signal of damage there?
  19. Anybody has experience with rod delivery from Amazon is safe to order a rod from Amazon how they ship rods? i always order a lot of stuff from Amazon never had a problem but not so sure about rods

Hello everyone! New Florida man here (the good one lol) Used to fish my whole life saltwater and decided to do a shift after talking to many good people who fish Bass around here and i fell in love, Bass is an amazing game fish and now after reading so many posts for my questions that i looked on google i decide to create an account here not just to make my own questions but maybe to make some new friends too since is such a nice community! Coming from saltwater all I'm used to is spinning i know that for Bass baitcasting is a good deal, but Im happy what i can achieve with spinning using many types of baits. At this moment I'm fishing mostly in local lakes best thing about Florida is that you can catch fish in any water you can find LOL, and and the lake where i live right across the street is full of bass and peacock bass and I'm learning there, soon have plans to go to a big lake like the big O and rent a boat (don't have one) ,try my lucky there. Besides fishing have a passion with everything nature related (trails, camping, etc) and photography. Anyway nice to be here with you guys! Let's catch some big ol'bass
