  1. I see that this bait is very effective to catch several species of fish even peacock bass, never got a package but I see that is not cheap for 4 soft plastics inside the package, they say they use a special durable plastic, anybody has some experience with this one? what is the recommended size and jig head to use?
  2. I grab the line when I can't reach for the fish on the water, glad to know was doing the correct lol
  3. If you live in Florida you learn to live peacefully with them, had many encounters with them bank fishing, very close to me, as long as I don't harm them or do any movements that attracts and makes angry they just don't care...livings, gators, snakes etc I don't care... the only thing that bothers me is the FLORIDA MAN
  4. I confess that bothers me a little, i sometimes believe if there is something wrong with the way i fish, the bait etc.. Im getting hard days and I live in Florida... not sure if the fish here are extremely temperature sensitive, but not having lucky and getting skunked in different places with different baits

I use stick worms all the time with bullet weights and catch fish... not sure if is correct or not.... but the weight in this case is not an issue, maybe is the retrieve, you need to reel the line really sloooow
  6. I live in Florida I just need to cross the street and go to my neighborhood pond probably 1 minute walk But I also like to explore other places with my car, since we are surrounded by water everywhere I don't need to go that far
  7. This video opened my eyes about this topic love the scientific approach this guy takes on his videos and this for me says it all, probably i will try to use the stopper to have my own experience but after this video im convinced that is not required at all
  8. Perfect explanation thank so much this make me happy with my choice them lol Yes i think the same way too regarding MH rods.. versatile and you can experiment more than a M rod thank your help and amazing explanation
  9. Mine is rated 3/8 - 3/4 oz --- goes beyond a texas rig on your example, this is not an issue in this case? or its a rule that i can only cast between 3/8 - 3/4 oz?
  10. My idea for this rod is not panfish is for bass and peacock bass in Florida, so worms, flukes, cranks, and maybe frog
  11. Sorry if is a stupid question Regarding Medium Heavy baitcasting rod, makes a big difference if I use a lighter lure than what is specified on my rod for example lighter than 3/8 - 3/4 oz.? not sure if i did a good choice since the medium can fit most bass baits around there but and not sure if i can cast a texas rigged worm with 1/4 with this rod.
  12. And you do that on open water too? interesting read somewhere that was not good idea to use it while on open water
  13. Ok maybe I should give it a try, what brand and bobber stopper is recommended to use it? never used saw a lot on amazon not so sure what to use with a texas rig
  14. humm pegged can't get stuck? and the fact that the weight gets too close to the soft bait can't cause trouble, since the bass can feel the weight when they bite?
  15. Never used a stopper for the weight on a Texas Rig here in Florida and I'm not used to see people using too, but saw some videos that they use the stopper, what is the advantaged to put a stopper to hold the weight next on the line like that exactly?
  16. You can put the store name
  17. Most of my rods are spinning, planning to slowly get some baitcasting stuff and i saw this combo from Abu Garcia on BPS MLF can't see to much info on the internet about that anybody has it or had experience with it?
  18. Bass are not line shy fluro is useless for this purpose on my own experience, fluro for abrasion only
  19. Forgot to mention most of my rods are 7 rods using fluro 7lbs or braid (without leader)
  20. Thanks for that, i will try with lighter weight too maybe that is my issue now... and you are right when i cast at the middle usually the fish bite very close to the shore when im slowly recovering the line
  21. Hummm maybe that is the reason weight usually use 1/8 maybe to heavy for ponds and canals here in Florida? tried weightless sometime ago and have big issue to cast far or where I wanted
  22. Use Texas Rigged worms a lot in different sizes .. sometimes a zoom fluke or creature
  23. TBH tried both with any success parallel to the bank.... my biggest problem is that i can't cast far enough and when start to recover the line its inevitable that the bait approaches to much from the bank and start to get stuck on everything possible
  24. I have a real issue regarding casting , I use spinning equipment all the time, and I know very well that casting parallel to the shore is the best strategy to catch bass, but I simply can't do that, every time i try to cast parallel or goes to short or always get stuck in underwater grass or stones when recovering the line since it approaches too much from the shore never got any good results... so my solution is to cast straight at the middle of the lake/canal and pray for the best result... which usually happens What I'm doing wrong?
