Shorter Handle MH/F Super Spook Rod Under 7 ft. ?
13 makes 6'7 MHs with a 12.5" handle for topwater/JBs. Check out the Omen Blacks, I think they're tough to beat for the $.

Does BG vs Nasci = Ford vs Chevy?
The 21 Nasci looks like its going to be a banger. IMO the Nasci would be the reel to go with over the BG. Not that the BG isn't a good reel because it is, its heavy. Nasci is smoother, lighter and has an AL main vs BGs zinc.

Lures that lost popularity?
I remember reading an article about renting out Shad Raps for what would be worth about 100$ at the time the article was written.

Pflueger President wind knots
A good BB in the roller helps, but you definitely don't need one to have good line lay. My Exceler and Fuegos all stack line pretty well with bushings. Reels are mass produced so 2 of the same reels necessarily wont manage line the same. So long as the reel stacks the line without any gaps, most if not all wind knots that occur are going to be caused by operator error. After you close the bail put some tension on the slack line before you take it up. You may have to do the same thing when fishing with really light baits in a heavy crosswind.

A Fall Fishing Jacket
I layer up. Top: silk/lightweight polyester thermal, tee shirt, henley, heavy hooded sweatshirt, parka. Bottom: silk/lightweight polyester thermal, jeans, bibs and midweight wool socks. Fleece is good but I'm not too crazy about it as an outer layer if its really windy and cold or if I'm likely to get wet. It works pretty good as a 2nd layer with a water/wind proof parka shell over the top of it. There are a few full zip fleece jackets with hoods that are purpose made for waterfowl, but they're camo. The outside is treated to be more wind and water resistant then normal fleece, whether it is I'm not sure but I like the hoodies and jackets I have that they make. https://www.rogerssportinggoods.com/Apparel/Mens-Clothing-and-Footwear?brand=Banded

1/4 oz. Lipless Crank in the Fall
Only if its a MB Vibe X and it has to come from Baitworks. If its another brand or bought from anywhere else it wont catch anything but dinks.

I’m new and have no clue what I’m doing
Everyone has different preferences when it comes to rods especially. What really matters is if you like the way it feels. I recommend going to a tackle shop and a place like dicks sporting goods so you can figure out what your preferences are. I would recommend getting a brand that has a good replacement/warranty on their rods. 13 Fishing Dobyns and St. Croix all have good warranties.

Thoughts, predictions, and reviews of the Shimano Curado 150 MGL
You will get your moneys worth out of the reel long before you need to change the main if you ever do. I bet if you used it as a dedicated reel for anything where you lock the drag down and swing for the fences you would get some wear after heavy use. I would think it would handle CBs fine.

Line conditioner and cast nets?
Never used fabric softener myself, but soaking it water over night will help.

3 full days, freezing temps, new lake, think I can find a pattern?
Around here the fish generally don't fully transition to a winter pattern until late Dec and even then you can catch them. They usually hold in or around structure closest to the shallow water where they move in to feed. Bridges, rocks, pilings/docks are a great place to start. If I need to cover water to find active fish I'll throw a little Easy Shiner on a light head or a hair jig. If I pick up a few fish in a certain area, I'll put some time into it and try to pick it apart with a few different baits. If I can find an area that holds fish that just wont bite, I go to a float and fly. It just seems to produce fish when nothing else gets bit.

I’m playing “chicken” with tackle warehouse.
I wouldn't say that at all. BPS has a 10% or better markup on most products. Decoys that cost 70$ will cost 85 or 90$. BPS has some sketchy advertising as well. I bought some of their plastics a while back which were 50% off. They were supposed to be 8 in a bag and there was only 5. Even the sticker on the bag said 8ct. From the looks and actions of BPS Johnny Morris has only 1 concern and that's max profit.

Jig Rod Approx. 250$ budget
Its the 7'3 MH F 5/16-1oz. I dont use 1/2 oz jigs very much but it should be able to handle one with a decent sized trailer.

Jig Rod Approx. 250$ budget
I'm not 100% sure why they went with the EVA there either. It doesn't effect sensitivity as much as you think it would because its fairly dense so it translates vibration pretty well. The Vic blanks are really sensitive to begin with and combine that with there light weight you feel just about everything. In a situation where I need to feel everything, ill have my finger on the line anyway. See if you cant find a local shop that has the 7'3 Marshal. The handle is short enough to be comfortable in a kayak as well.

First time using fluorocarbon for wormin, setup recommendations?
8lb should work fine I use backing on just about everything. There's no sense in putting 120 or 140 yds when half of the line never sees the light of day. I can see wanting to have a full spool of braid because of the lighter weight, but even then you can use old braid as backing and fresh braid for the last 60 or 80 yards. With the knot being that far in the spool you not going to have to worry about it going through teh guides. 12lb braid has a much higher breaking strength then 12lb mono or FC. Unless the braid is frayed or damaged, either the leader or one of the knots is far more likely to break then the main line. Alberto knots with 12 FC and light braid are really small. You shouldn't have any issues with casting.

Looking for a Chatterbait Rod
I think a softer rod gives you more advantages then just a higher landing %. They cast farther with less effort and IMO it allows gives the bait a better action compared to a stiff rod. Its really important to constantly check the hook on a chatterbait and make sure its sticky sharp. A good hook sharpener that can draw out a rolled point quickly is a must IMO.

Versatile Cranking Rod
A 6'10 -7'1 M F casting rod with the right amount of tip can do all of that and more. I use a 7'1 M F Muse for CBs/JBs, spooks/poppers, weightless plastics and lighter swimjigs/chattebaits in open water. I wouldn't recommend spending the $ for a Muse when you get essentially the same blank in the Omen Black or Fate V3 for 50-80$ less.

6th Sense has some skirts that are really close, like Backwater special, Green Pumpkin Jelly, Blue Gill Magic and a few others.

Going to School
An active school of fish will hit just about anything. My favorite bait to throw is probably a JB.

SLX vs SLX MGL
I would go with the MGL for sure. However I completely agree with what was in a prior comment. If the rod doesn't cast those lighter baits well to begin with the MGL spool isn't going to vastly improve casting.

Abu Revo Ike baitcaster
I used one my buddy has. Its a wider reel then most of my Shimanos and while its not particularly heavy it feels solid. It didnt do so well with lighter baits, but I think alot of that that was due to the rod he had it on which was a stiff 6'7 MH. I did catch quite a few fish on it, and I remember really digging the handle.
