  1. Whatever tree you choose, leave the ornaments on when you sink it. That attracts the fish best of all.

  4. Well, since winter here means mostly ice fishing, and since I've never caught a bass on any bait larger than a small swedish pimple, I have to go with small.

  7. Sometimes I like the wind (if it's pushing the baitfish and the bass where I can find and reach them) but otherwise, it's a pain in the rump. But the exact opposite is quite annoying too-those dead calm days when the sun bakes the shriveling brain in my skull and the fish have gone somewhere I can't find.

  10. More than likely, it was a beetle spin. That was about all I could afford.
  11. No, I've never been to obsessed. Where is it located? Just yankin' your chain. Trust me, there are those on this forum who are real sticklers regarding spelling and grammar-if you haven't already figured that out. Yes, sometimes I think I'm too obsessed. The problem is two fold for me. First, I haven't found too many other people around here who share my obsession. Second, since the ice is still too thin to walk on, I can't go out and turn my related obsession into a compulsion (ice fishing).

  14. Picture isn't the greatest but I think it's either a green sunfish or a warmouth (probably the former). I don't think it's a rock bass.

  17. Further proof that some people will do anything to be in the spotlight. If I were that golfer, I would've been tempted to wrap a 9 iron around his neck and strangle him with it.
  18. That's a great bass but we need something else in the picture to provide scale. How big was it? I hope 2011 is great for you also. Cheers!

  21. LOL. What gets me is when you invariably slaughter their names pronunciation and they look at you all indignant-like. Come on! It's not like "Jane" or "Mary." Their gonna have to make oversized full body scanners for these...(ahem) "ladies." Otherwise, they could smuggle weapons (grenade launchers, stinger missiles, main battle tanks) onto airplanes.
  22. I say we stomp 'em! Then we tattoo 'em! Then we hang 'em! And then we kill 'em!
  23. Chartreuse or chartreuse and black marabou jigs can really mop them up in the Spring around here. But I'd buy several in an assortment of colors. They aren't that pricey and if you fish near trees, you're bound to lose some.
  24. One of my favorite baits for pike. Like J Francho said, firetiger is great color but others can work too. Clown is good on overcast days.
  25. Just the other night I saw a Lowes or Menards commercial (I can't remember which) where a couple is asking for assistance from a store clerk. She needed help in finding him a power tool and he, not so subtly said he was going to head off to "appliances"- the implication being that she was getting a appliance of some sort for Christmas. So, there you have it!!!
