  1. Haven't you seen Happy Gilmore? Get good like him where you can put the ball on the green with just your driver and you'll only need two clubs.
  2. When I was probably 7 or 8, my dad brought my twin brother and I to the grocery story and he let us pick out our own boxes of cereal for our birthday treat. I picked Boo Berry and my bro picked Count Chocula. That was about 38 years ago. He (dad) died a few years later but I'll always remember that blue dyed, sugary goodness!
  3. Ya got me. All the bass on my favorite (local) pond seem to have evaporated to.
  4. What a couple of a-holes! >
  5. If you are a novice, you might actually be better off with some ratty, cheap flies to start things. Then graduate to some better ones. Just a thought.

  8. I just watched a "treatise" on how revealing ones goals to others can actually reduce the chance of realizing them. So, I won't say what my goals are. Or, rather, if such is the case, I'll say my goals are to be sunburned, mosquito bitten, and skunked on every fishing outing I ever have. Oh, wait! I'm closer than I ever imagined!
  9. Ditto! I almost always catch fish when the barometric pressure is either falling or low. A rising baramometer is almost always tough.

  12. The one minus does have a rather wide swing in its wobble. Maybe your just not accustomed to that action in a crankbait? Or maybe you got one that is just "off." It's one of my favorite baits for fishing over submerged weeds so be sure to give it a fair chance.
  13. Anyone here play Company of Heroes? It's addictive but difficult (for me, anyway)! I don't know how anyone could play the computer at the hardest difficulty level and ever hope to win. They must know something I don't. Or use lots of cheat codes.
  14. Herbert Khaury (hint: Tiptoe through the tulips)
  15. Jumpin' Jehosephats! What a way to get her started! Good fish!
  16. This past weekend a buddy (also a member of this forum) and I were loading up his boat to leave and we witnessed two women pulling their boat up to the ramp. No men anywhere in sight. My jaw almost dropped to my feet. I wasn't upset or indignant or anything like that. To the contrary, I was pleased to see it. But this sort of thing is so rare for me to witness that I wonder how successful (ratings-wise) a show featuring a woman host would actually be. I can't speak for Glenn but I wonder how successful this forum/website would be if it relied exclusively on women. I wish there were more.
  17. Yes, considering the alternative, the tube seems like a walk in the park. And it isn't that much worse than an MRI machine. When I was in the Air Force and we had deployed to Roswell for a week, I bunked in the old alert facility. On the last night, before we left, I had this odd fear like they were going to seal the doors to the facility with me still in it, and then forget about me. Talk about not sleeping well. Anyway, being trapped in a mine would probably not bring out the best in me.
  18. Oh!!! From the subject title, I thought you were talking about Lady Gaga! Hope you feel better soon. Maybe the laugh will help.
  19. Oh, wow! What a sad occurrence! Too young-even at 50. Condolences to her family and friends.
  20. Q - What's worse than finding lobsters on your piano? A - Crabs on your organ. (Sorry, please don't ban me).
  21. Your list of bands to choose from seems rather odd to me. Considering the vast numbers of bands who have come and gone, with the exception of nickleback, all of the available choices have been around (in the public consciousness) for several decades and each sold a boat load of records. The only band which will likely be soon forgotten (but not soon enough) is Nickleback.
  22. It's good to know I'm not the only one in the world capable of things like this. That bass had a huge head. Seemed a little malnourished. Maybe next time he catches it, it'll have put on some girth and weigh 12 lbs.
  23. Ditto. So long as you have permission, who cares what other's think. Besides, they'd probably appreciate someone catching some of the lunkers that are potentially eating the trout.
