Daiwa Fuego SV
So I tested the reel this morning. First impression was it’s impossible to blacklash, crazy how a spool can make so much difference. Second, it doesn’t cast as far as the fuego CT, maybe it is because of my casting techniques ?♂️ Also it doesn’t have a spool tension knob, so no adjustment there. It reels a little bit smoother than the ct as well, less gear noise. It’s a bit lighter than the ct. I cannot tell if the body is metal or graphite because the body feels like plastic, but at the same time it doesn’t flex like one. Having said that, the fuego ct feels more sturdy. I would say if the fuego Sv was a corvette, the ct would be a charger.? I ordered mine from China. I bought it and had my colleague from Shanghai ship it to me. It was about 130-140 usd shipped. I like it so far??

Daiwa Fuego SV
?I would like to believe I am the first in the U.S of America to get my hands on the Fuego SV. The reel is awesome other than the plastic feel it gives me. It’s smoother than the fuego ct, less noisy. However, the CT feels a lot more solid in my hands. I will try to fish it tomorrow.

jerk bait/spook and square bill rod
Thanks for inputs. I guess I will add a crank bait rod for now. I have a tatula 6’10 MHF. I will try it for jerk bait and see it it works.

jerk bait/spook and square bill rod
Hello, I was looking for a rod that can throw square bill and jerk bait/spook. I was doing some research on it and found out that it can be two difference rods. My thought was they all have treble hooks which should require a slower action tip, but some say that they use a fast action for jerkbait and spook. So slower action is not needed for the jerk bait/spook treble hooks?

Question about the line rating on a rod
I have the Tatula elite 7”1 HF that I got for frogging and jigs. The line rating is 16-30lb. I didn’t pay attention to line ratings before, now that I wanted to put 50lb braid on it, I would like to understand a bit more about what the line rating really means. Is it the diameter of the line or breaking point of the rod? What confused me more is all their spinning rods have both mono and braid ratings ? how can there be two breaking points? 14lb mono? 30lb braid? Thank you for your inputs!

Daiwa Tatula Elite 6'9 Skipping rod question
Hello everyone, what is the rod’s weight of the Elite 6”9HF? I haven the 7”1 version, and it’s a little too heavy for me. I might want to exchange to the 6”9.
