  1. Haven't fished the Poison Adrena before but the TB guys say the action is pretty much the same as the Zodias, but just weighs a little less. I'd imagine it's the same story for the Poison Adrena, but much lighter since it doesn't use any cork at all on the handle.
  2. Nitro owners - in your opinion, are the Dowco CruiseAir seats worth the extra $2000 (or $1000 for driver only)?
  3. Sorry for delayed response. I did like the 6'8" Victory for jerkbaits. The action was pretty much perfect for throwing them. The only thing I didn't like was the grip was just a little on the thin side, and the trigger was a little bit short for my liking, and those two combined resulted in sore left hand and wrist after only a few hours on the water. I've since ordered the 6'10" Medium Shimano Expride B and I loved it so much throwing jerkbaits that I bought a second one. The grip is more comfortable and the extra 2" in length made a bit of a difference in casting distance, as far as I could tell at least. If you have the budget for it, I would highly recommend getting the Expride.
  4. Hi all! Back again with more noob questions! I'm trying to improve on my jerkbait game this year. I picked up a Revo MGXHS and paired it with the 6'8 MXF Victory rod and this is the one combo in my arsenal I'm most excited to put to use this year. During prespawn period, what kind of structure do you recommend targeting for largemouth? I'm trying to soak up as much knowledge as I can, through forums and YouTube, etc. One common thing I hear is secondary points leading up to spawning flats. How would you tackle these areas? As well, what structure do you recommend targeting during the fall transition? Really sorry if these are noob questions. Jerkbaits was one of the techniques I was lacking in last year so one of my biggest goals fishing this year is to get really good at it. Appreciate your expertise!!!
  5. Hi all. Omnia's having a sale on Rapala DT cranks and I'm looking to pick up some DT-10's. What colors should I get for these MN lakes?
  6. Hello all. Just picked up a REVOMGX2-HS (8.0:1 gear ratio) from Bass Pro Shops. Didn’t have any specific technique in mind initially for this reel, but wondering for anyone that might have it, how it would do for frogging? It’s got a shallower spool (80yd/50lb braid) than my REVO SX and 7 lbs less drag. Thanks!
  7. Just picked up the Dobyns Champion 805CB (not the glass version) for deep cranking. Thoughts on the Daiwa Tatula 200 to pair with this rod?
  8. Well, I ordered the 6’8 MXF Victory…Bass Pro Shops has it for $20 off retail and they had a 10% off code today. And I had a $50 gift card.

  10. I don’t think either of us will regret our choices lol. The 6’10 MLXF will be my dedicated Ned and Dropshot rod. I’ll just throw shakey heads on another rod ?
  11. I was surprised to see the 6’10 Expride is a Moderate-Fast. I asked Matt what he would recommend between a Dobyns 685CB (also Mod-Fast) and the 6’8 MXF Victory, and he said definitely the Victory for sure because the tip section is a lot more crisp and would work jerkbaits a lot better.
  12. Hello all! As the forum title says, I'm looking for a dedicated jerkbait rod (will be paired to a SLX MGL 70), and I have my sights primarily set on a St. Croix Victory 6'8 MXF. However, I was wondering if anyone that has the 6'8 Victory, if you also have the 6'10 Expride, is it worth spending a little more to get the Expride? The Victory and the Zodias are both $200, and the Expride is only $60 more. Matt from TacticalBassin swears by the 6'10 M Expride, so I wanted to see if you guys would agree? I’ve got my heart set on the Victory, but looking for any reason to either get the 6’10 Zodias or spend a little more for the Expride. Thanks again!!
  13. Soft tip, but lots of backbone. I don’t consider it whippy whatsoever. Love how light it feels in my hands. I also have a tendency to have my hand slightly above the reel when I’m fishing, probably higher than most folks, so the amount of cork above the reel seat is perfect.
  14. Helps a ton! Thank you! I’ll pick up a couple sets of these in different colors.
